THis is a Visioneer/ Xerox DP820 dlp HD projector with about 100 hours off of it so the bulb is about 95 percent left. its an amazing projector which i would be happy to display in a dolby 5.1 environment in my apartment before purchase. I have my 360 hooked up in perfect 1080i HD and my screen is around 110in right now and its outstandingly clear just on a white wall. the projector ussually goes for about 800$-900$ so im going to get rid of it for around $750. There are no problems at all and i will give you everything you will need to hook this up immediately to any media source, including a remote with laser pointer. It is a very bright projector (rated at 1600 ANSI Lumens) even in the day time but i would suggest a low light environment for the best effect. I am only getting rid of it becuase i have upgraded, and have had it for about a month. This is perfect for any hardcore gamer or movie fanatic.

I'll offer about $400 for it. Other projectors equally new have gone for about that price on TWW just recently.

How exactly do you have the 360 connected to the projector? I don't see where that projector has HD inputs. Are you just using the S-video?

i may want to get rid of the sound system also, its a formidable Dolby 5.1 5 small but very loud speakers with sub and it is a very good combination with this projector. It also is about a month old, but the sound quality is actually very high.

haha, exactly, god damn seller. WHen i bought this i thought it had composite inputs for the rgb HD like normal, but when i received it i was wrong, there is no rgb hd instead its a AV HD like from a computer monitor which im told is clearer you will need a new hd cable for your xbox its a special kind you can find it at almost any store.

So lemme get this straight. No Component. No DVI. No Widescreen. Even if you can buy some extra cable for the 360 it will still downconvert the signal to 800 x 600 resolution. And you have the balls to claim that the "360 [is] hooked up in perfect 1080i HD"?

I'm not trying to be a dick here, I have a projector that has a similar resolution (although mine has HD inputs and is widescreen). I'm sure it looks decent having a picture that big, but this can hardly be described as "great for 360".

I'd take that $400 offer and run if I were you.

whoa hold up, the wide screen is perfect and there is a video component on the back for a yellow video input, and the HD signal still runs at maximum and ive never ran it at 800 by 600 that would suck ass. if you really think you know what you are talkgn about you can look at the specs yourself.

i run it at 1280 by 1024 even for television which i do run thrugh compnent.

Analog Video Signal RGB, S-Video, composite video, component video
nterfaces 1 x VGA - 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15)
1 x S-video input - 4 pin mini-DIN
1 x composite video input - RCA
1 x audio line-in - mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm
1 x USB - 4 pin USB Type B ( management )

The projector has a native resolution of 800 x 600 which is not in a widescreen format. It may be capable of displaying a picture of higher resolution, but no matter how you slice it, you're not getting more resolution than 800 x 600. As far as the widescreen goes, again you can display a picture of any shape or size, but it's native size is not widescreen. It's the same thing as watching a letterboxed image on a standard 4x3 television.

To learn more about native vs maximum resolution, read this article.

Bottom line is, you're not ever going to get a true HD signal displayed on that projector. Which, as I said, there's nothing wrong with it. I just don't think it's right that you're (most likely unintentionally) misleading your potential buyers by claiming that you can.

ahh 450 i paid 800 for it less than a month ago guys im not trying to get almost halved here. I understand now nacho you are correct and it is only running at 1080i so its not true hd anyway. but i set my Xbox for 1080i widescreen 1280 by 1024 which is the highest setting for the 360. The bottom line is try to find a 1600 lumen 1080i HD projector for less than 600. if you have component hd on the back of your projector you are paying a lot of money for your projector but the only thing thats running true HD right now is blue ray and hd dvd and a few cable channels which you will be paying an ass load of cash for. This is a nice projector im not trying to rip any body off but im not trying to lose 400$ in a month.

It's cool man. This shit is pretty difficult to figure out. You're not asking for too much money for it, and it should be a fine projector for whoever buys it. I just didn't want anyone thinking they were getting something they weren't. Good luck selling it.

^^I know right?

You can get a 4805 factory refurbished with a brand new bulb for ~$600, and I'd MUCH rather have it. But if everyone's happy, I guess that's what matters.
