What would y'all say is the best place to try to get a job on campus? I'm thinking about doing that since yet again I won't have a car with me

plus even if they do, what do u have to lose by goin in and tryin to get a job? there's always the library and the gym as well.

library, gym, Cstore, computer lab op (seems like CHASS and natural resources are ALWAYS looking for them)you aren't limited to having an on-campus job just because you don't have a car. there's LOTS around campus. I'm a junior, and I still don't have a car. It's sheer happenstance that both my jobs are on-campus.ask your adviser/some faculty you're on good terms with.

I work at the bookstore up in school supplies. It's a good place to work. It's laidback, flexible schedule, pay starts at $7 if you're in a decent department. If you speak good english, there's a good chance you'll have a job sometime this fall. You can get textbooks on loan (free to you, but you have to give em back) but you'll have to work 15 hours a week (and by participating in this program you also get the "accelerated pay rate" of $7 an hour; if you prove to be worth your salt you will get a raise, if you don't get a raise you should ask) to get it.It's seriously convenient to walk from school to lunch somewhere on campus, go to an easy job for five hours, then go home. Easy money, gives me plenty of time to do my work, and leaves my weekends free most of the time.Give it a shot, just make sure to turn in a printout of your time schedule with your application. You can get an application in the downstairs office of the bookstore.

If you wait about 2 or 3 weeks after school starts when the work study kids hve gotten in their jobs, look at the list and call around. Be sure to tell them that you're not work study, but you would love to work with them or some BS like that! I do work study, but if you get the right department early enough that needs the help, you can get something good.

Any CSC lab (112, 114, 116, 200, or E115) is a decent job, with the added bonus of making you look good on your resume.
