I have tried the usual medicated shampoo and cold shower treatment for a few weeks and that didn't work. Any suggestions?

Dandruff is caused by a fungus in the scalp. You have to kill it.

I found that I had to make sure to use a conditioner after my dandruff shampoo. The shampoo alone wasn't enough. I had never really thought about using a conditioner before.Or buzz your head. I never had dandruff while in basic.

i had bad results with everything, then tried the h&s extra strong shampoo in the blue bottle plus the h&s conditioner.

shaving your head doesn't get rid of it. You just don't notice it when your head is shaved because the flakes can come off easier and don't get stuck in the hair.

i had tried everything short of a prescription when someone mentioned this redken product called "solve".it works when nothing else would. now the dandruff is all gone.

i think trying the conditioner is your best bet. along with h&s, this helped me the most.

Try eating more seafood. If you are a vegetarian, go for eggs, flax, and/or walnuts. Omega deficiencies/imbalances can cause dry skin/dandruff.
