id say the smoltz splitter is a tough one to handle but then again the Koch fastball was almost impossible to touch
8/8/2006 2:51:02 PM
Koch? More like Crotch.
8/8/2006 2:55:36 PM
8/8/2006 4:00:03 PM
Koch....look it up
8/8/2006 5:29:57 PM
all I know about koch is that he blew ass for the sox
8/8/2006 5:31:23 PM
Randy Johnson's slider was unhittable in his prime, especially for a left-handed batter.
8/8/2006 5:31:37 PM
Joey Devine's heater that doesn't land for 440 feet!
8/8/2006 5:35:09 PM
Jose Canseco's knuckle ball
8/8/2006 5:50:53 PM
Wakefield's knuckle. Ask Mirabelli.
8/8/2006 6:36:44 PM
Wakefield's knuckle is unhittable if it knuckles, otherwise it is gone

didnt greg maddux have a pitch about 10 years ago that was really good?like it always caused hitters to ground out[Edited on August 9, 2006 at 2:18 PM. Reason : ^haha i laughed at the wildthing comment too]
8/9/2006 2:18:03 PM
Who cares about baseball?
8/9/2006 2:20:09 PM
Maddux is a nibbler. He doesn't have one dominating pitch. It's no secret the Braves pitchers got more of the plate then anyone else anyway, which is ONE reason Glavine and Maddux were so succesful. Personally I think Smoltz was the best of the 3 since he is able to do it even with Questech..I'm still lauging about someone including Tom Gordon's curveball.
8/9/2006 2:21:03 PM
maddux, glavine, and smoltz got no more of the plate than any other cy young winner who pitches on the cornersand i almost forgot about santana's change, that shit is nasty[Edited on August 9, 2006 at 2:32 PM. Reason : ]
8/9/2006 2:32:29 PM
the best pitch in baseball is a 98+ fastball that is put just in the right spot...
8/9/2006 2:38:59 PM
um, thanks for your contribution?
8/9/2006 2:42:56 PM
...with movement
8/9/2006 2:43:08 PM
Maddux's 2-seamer in the 90s was pretty dominate.Trevor Hoffman's changeup and Johan Santana's Circle AND regular changeup come to mind too.

8/9/2006 3:02:03 PM
when he was 100%, kerry wood had a pretty dirty slider
8/9/2006 3:17:08 PM
not as good as the units
8/9/2006 3:18:36 PM
randy johnson is also 6'11 and left-handed...
8/9/2006 3:38:41 PM
which makes his pitch better than wood's
8/9/2006 5:05:18 PM
Orlando Hernandez and when he brings the mid 90's fastball following with his curveball, flicking the booger, at 56mph
8/9/2006 5:20:49 PM
Zito's curve when it's going form the letters to the shoestrings in an instant, when he hangs it, look out. Francisco Rodriguez of the angels has some nasty stuff, most notably his slider
8/9/2006 5:51:14 PM
changeup and fastballthat's all you need
8/9/2006 6:13:43 PM
soon to be verlander's knuckle curve
