I am getting deployed to Iraq and need someone to take over my lease. the lease ends at the end of May. Monthly cost is $284.50 for students plus one half of the electric bill and half the cable. it is apart of Gorman Crossings and is right along the wolfline. It is a pretty quiet neighborhood. PM me or email me at bcshelly@ncsu.edu. Thanks

you should be able to get out of that since you're deploying...I know my roommate's friend got a letter saying they should allow him to break his lease with no penalty since he's being deployed.

Good luck.

^ I'm not 100% sure but I believe it covers all people on the lease.

i know i can get out of the lease, but that leaves my roommate with everything. i havent heard anything about everyone getting out of the lease, but even if that is true, that still leaves my roommate without a place to stay.

I have been deployed alot of times and got out of my lease. It's actually a law that they have to let you out of your lease as long as you have your deployment orders in hand

bttt my b/f is the roomie being left behind.. he's a quiet, clean guy, and won't even be around much. He's not looking to move to a different place, since he just moved in in May. You can also PM me, as scuba medic is pretty busy right now.

Brian, you're awesome. I wish you were still with the scuba program next year, I loved being in your class! I brought you strawberry cupcakes

yo, don't go around on killing and raping rampages and stacking naked prisoners into pyramids.

well, i am the roommate, so I guess I'll chime in too. Thank you everyone for the info about getting out of the lease. Obviously, if nobody is interested in taking over scuba medic's lease, then I'll just be in search of a place to live once again...

the law that applies here, the SCRA of 2003 gives the person being deployed the ability to break his lease withou penalty, however the other roommates don't get that privelege. Additionnally, the leassor is not requred to reduce the rent payment or help in any way....

so... please someone come live with me!! I am clean and quiet.
