ight, a while back i installed an extra 120 gig harddrive as a slave drive, it works fine, holds all my multimedia files and whatnot, so good.this weekend i decided to do a little cleaning, formatting my HDs and whatnot. when i go to clean install windows, the only HD that shows up is C: drive, altho it has the capacity of my F: (70 for the master vs 120 slave)one again, since it was pointing to C: drive, i didnt think anything of it, so went ahead with the install.as my computer boots backup, everything is the same, no lost icons, no lost programs, etc. everything in my C: is intact, while my F: now has a WINDOWS folder on it.It's not causing any problems running my PC, at least not yet.so i restart, try to go thru the setup bluescreen (F2 on start) and its not even recognizing my extra HD on the menu.what givesthx in advance

that is pretty strange, try unplugging the slave, these are PATA right? Also how old is the computer?

make sure your other drive is on master not cable select... although i cannot guarentee this to be a problem ive heard of it causeing this sort of thing before.

check the jumpers, bios settings and cables, unplug the extra drive, boot, shutdown, plug drive back in, bootodd though b/c it wouldnt work quite right at first if the settings or cables were off....the cable select thing could be doing it....
