Does anyone know if the services provided by Student Legal Services extend to recently graduated students as well? I have a problem that I may need legal assistance in resolving, though I just graduated in May, with this issue arising (without my knowledge) in April of this year and just now coming to a head. I'll be calling tomorrow, but if anyone happens to know offhand I'd greatly appreciate it.

Assuming they do turn me away, does anyone have any recommendations for local lawyers who give fairly inexpensive consultations? It's a small claims matter, but I'd prefer to make sure I have every possible base covered if it comes to me needing to enter a court room at some point.

honestly, all you really need to do is go up there...show them your id(mine expires in a while, dont know about yours), fill out some form and like why you are there, and then sign up for a time

just go in with like a list of questions, the people are very nice and helpful

nope as soon as you graduate that's it.

but if its a small claims thing, you would more than likely only need an hour or so of any lawyers time, which should be but a hundred bucks or so.

Considering graduates are still in student information databases for several months (TRACS, for example, still lists me as an undergraduate senior in COM) after they graduate, yes, I am serious.

Please go back to Chit Chat and take your lousy attempts at trolling or wit or whatever-you-want-to-call-it with you.

Thanks.

be a man and pay for your legal services instead of getting a free ride off of other students money

Don't worry, I'll be taking a class in the Fall anyway, so I'll try to keep my freeloading to a minimum!
