hey guys i'm wondering how you can get tree sap off the hood of a car without damaging the paint too terribly bad. it sat underneath some pine trees for a few weeks and i need to get that stuff off.

Bug & Tar remover.Just clean the shit off when you get done (and read the can to make sure it doesn't damage paint before you use it. I'm something around 70% sure it doesn't damage paint).

i've used bug & tar remover.put it on, leave for ~ 1 minute, wipe it off. doesn't hurt the paint. just make sure you read the label of whatever you buy.[Edited on August 1, 2006 at 10:23 PM. Reason : so you don't fuck up and buy the only shit that will damage paint]

Most of that shit doesnt work. Might as well get some goo gone or just use a little gasoline, just make sure to wash it off the paint afterwards.

i had some hardcore pine sap on my vehicle in hs...even goo gone didnt work completely...but it eventaully came off after a few months of regular car usage
