So I just got my tongue pierced (Sat) and I know it's supposed to be swollen and all that but my tongue fucking kills me if I move it or swallow-is that normal or is it possible the dude pierced my nerve-also i can't feel anything on the left tip of my tongue...anyone with experience in this department-im about to take itout!!

Apples411: You got a peice of metal jammed through your tongue, of course it is going to hurt and be sore for a few days. When I got mine done it was too swollen to eat or talk much for a few days, and swallowing hurt too (I couldn't drink without it hurting). Just suck it up, you knew what you were in for when you got a piercing.

I know it's supposed to hurt as i already said tart. anyways i just figured someone on here would have experience with it- ive had other piercings and they always get infected - i had to take my belly button out 2X because it was gross. i asked the dude piercing me and he said it would be unlikely for my tongue to be infected-i just thought it weird that my tongue hurt if i moved it in a particular direction-and that i couldnt feel the tip of it on the left side-which my ring is more towards the left.

i got my nipples pierced a couple of weeks ago, and my right nipple hurt pretty bad for a few days afterwards. the left one was fine. i took an ibuprofen (sp?) and that helped. the swelling went down also. i'd say just tough it out, but it also wouldn't hurt to go get it checked out.

when i had mine done the swelling was quick to go away, wasnt gradual, very weird, you should notice a huge difference in size soon
