Hi,
I'm fairly illiterate when it comes to computers. I tried to turn my computer on this morning and I couldnt do the following
I tried to access something by clicking on start window, it opens but then when i click on programs it wont open. I've tried to restart the computer but the same thing happened again.
What should I do, Any help is appreciated.

Have you done a virus scan recently?

Have you downloaded/installed any programs recently?

If all else fails, you could try doing a system restore.

Are you running the XP themed visuals? Try changing to the Classic Start Menu and see if the Programs folder appears.

how can i do a system restore with being able to get to it through the start menu?
I've already tried changin to classic style

can use use the Windows key on your keyboard, then the arrow keys to navigate?

If the Start menu wont come up you can run any program by bringing up the task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del or right clicking on the task bar and selecting it). File -> New task/run.
