first one was surprisingly good, all things considered (kutcher being the lead being the things considered)

i enjoyed the first one suprisingly, its a lot deeper when ya actually watch it and think about the various possible angles of it.

Ahahhahahahahaah awesome, especially considering the fact that--SPOILER ALERT!--Kelso offs himself in the womb at the end of the first one. What a hilarious piece of shit that was.

my only problem with the first one is when ashton kutcher is in jail and he is trying to prove to the mexican guy he talks to god or w/e and he goes back in time and stabs the pens on his teachers desk through his hands, then wouldnt he already have the scars from those before he talked to the guy. Like they wouldnt just magically appear, since everything else he changed in his past everyone else already saw and knew about it was only new to him (him blowing up his body and waking up with no arms and legs).

probably not as good as the first but i may enjoy it

i like thinking about the effects that his changing things does and looking for loopholes in the theory/plot

This one looks really lame, and it seems to have a low-budget look to it that the first one didn't have.

i liked the first one, as much as i hate ashton kutcher, he really did a good job with it

except for the one scene where he's running and he looks like a gorilla

they set up for this when he dropped his cig (when he was holding his gf's ears before the mailbox blew) and he burned himself and it appeared when he woke up. I'm guessing that the minor stuff wouldn't alter the future (like burning yourself or minor stab wounds) and since it hadn't actually happened yet, it wouldn't show up until after he went back.

agreed. i thought the first one looked lame because kutcher was in it. i watched it on-demand one day, and i was surprised at how good it was.

i'll also agree that it was pretty good

the second movie would have been cool if they had focused on his father and his experiences

This is going to be like the Final Destination movies, where every sequel is just a rehash of the last one.

They need to to stop jerking us around and go ahead an green light a sequel to Dude, Wheres My Car?

And I would never consider the Butterfly Effect to be a cult movie.

It looks like the first one
maybe a little more intense and with worse acting.

I liked the first one and i thought ashton kutcher did a very good job getting out of his usual movie role. Don't know who the actors are in this one but they don't look that great. Eh, i might see it when it comes out on DVD.
