i am trying to set up my webmail to come through with my new phone. i have the PPC-6700 and for incoming server i put myuserid.mail.ncsu.edu and for the outgoing server i put smtp.ncsu.eduit still wont let me send out email. any idea on how to fix this?thanks

that server only works if you are on the ncsu network - you should use sprint's smtp server

i thought they set up that smtp server so you could use it without being on the ncsu serverand the smtp sprint server wont let you send out email without it being from your spring mail

Here's what I did: emailed the help desk & told them to permanantly forward all my Webmail to my gmail account. The PPC-6700 makes setting up your Gmail painfully easy, so now getting my Webmail on my PPC is easy also.

you dont need to fucking call someone and waste their time to setup an email forwarding rule. login to webmail.ncsu.edu and make a rule yourself[Edited on July 24, 2006 at 12:16 PM. Reason : and no, smtp access has never been permitted to people outside of ncsu's subnets, besides UT]
