...there sure are a bunch of fuckers trying to sell a sow's ear for the price of a silk purse.I ran across a '98 Camry with a broken timing belt that was originally being sold for 4800 dolla.Guy came down to 4 grand. But I'll be damned if I'll buy something I can't at least start and drive, even at that price. Those engines are known to burn lots of oil if neglected in the earlier years, and you can't run a compression test on a car with a broken timing belt.

yup. on the drive to uwharrie i saw two older trucks (dodge & chevy) and they wanted 5 grand for em. looked like hunks of junk. i wouldn't pay that ever, let alone for a 2wd, 1500's[Edited on July 18, 2006 at 1:44 PM. Reason : not really craigslist, but you get the idea]

If I could justify another vehicle and I had the cash...I'd consider taking that one off of your hands.

the truth hurts sometimes.

7/18/2006 3:55:26 PM
if anyone's interested, I'm putting my 98 Camry up for sale for $6500, 69K miles.

fiberglass patch job.. google it, its really not that hard. You can buy fiberglass in rolls (long roll probably about 10 ft, but you'll want extra if you ever own a boat), then you get epoxy and probably resin all that good stuff, some new bottom paint and voila. I dont know if it would be too much $ to fix though, unless you were gonna resell it and just make $ back.

anyone want a brake lathe?http://raleigh.craigslist.org/tls/183581301.html

Those really aren't a bad deal. If they have all the adapters you need, then it's really the best way to resurface a rotor. And damn near the only way for a lot of the Hondas and older Scoobys (like '80s vintage)...

anyone see a problem here?http://raleigh.craigslist.org/boa/186008542.html

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/car/186338281.htmlLook at this piece of shit that they want $1500 for. Maybe if it was in near mint condition instead of being a wrecked piece of shit.

300 dolla TOPS. If they sell that motherfucker for that much, they need to move to Alaska and start selling freezers.

I wonder if the people asking for $1 cars are getting any responses.
7/27/2006 12:15:55 AM
^I think it requires you to put a price and they don't have a set one so they just put 1. Most of those say something else in the ad about the price.
