I think there are enough threads scattered about "The Lounge" and "Chit Chat" with pictures of users' pets and pet-related questions to warrant its own sub-forum. I could compile a list of these threads to demostrate this need. Maybe we could even have a separate "Cat Forum" haha j/k!

Just a suggestion, I think it would be a more useful section than "Old School"...

lets make 3 seperate entertainment forums while we're at it. music, movies, and video games. then again there are many types of movies, music, and consoles so lets break it up even further. then we can chop chit chat up into NSFW and boring-but-SFW sections.

I can understand the argument about creating too many sub-forums. So how about this? Delete "Old School" and rename it to "Cat Forum". No one uses "Old School" anyway, those few threads could easily fit into "The Lounge". Since millions upon millions of retards are calling for a pet forum, you have a reasonable guarantee that the new forum will be used. This won't create a more complex system, it will simply be reducing the clutter.

The only downside I can see to it is that Jere and his boyfriend Ernie will probably start crying about it.

I'd be willing to bet that if someone had suggested the "Old School" forum before it was created, they would have been flamed to death. Now people are defending it as if it's the best forum on here. I bet if you created the "Pet Forum" then tried to remove it a month later, people would scream bloody murder.

Basically, you can't take any dissenting opinions on here seriously half the time because people just like to argue for the sake of arguing. Pretty much the only user making a decent point against it (in this thread) is cyrion. And yes, maybe a "Pornography Forum" would be appropriate. I understand that at some point we need to draw the line at adding additional forums, but I think "Old School" already crossed that line and should be replaced with something that would generate more than 1 thread a day (if that).

The poll thread proves that the pet forum would get more use than "Old School" and that alone should be enough justification for its creation.

i think old school is pretty pointless as well and dont think it is a valid argument point. if anything we should just dump it, but it at least had somewhat of a point beyond being another topic area(to give older members the ability to talk free of noobs and yungins). id vote to make in invisible to those who cannot post in it.

i think the great thing about this site is that it is so general and you can find a variety of topics in any section.

I may not have that many posts, but I've been keeping up with this forum off and on for some time now.

^ I'll take the people that respond to this poll as a representative sample. And if people don't care enough to post about it, then it probably won't bother them one way or the other if we get one. your assumption seems quite incorrect to me. id venture to say that anyone that remotely cared would have chimed in. the fact that you have a limited response speaks volumes (especially in the summer, when there are much fewer threads to read).

sure some ppl will use it, but why should the J's bother to put time and effort into a subsection that is easily covered by day-to-day "lounge discussion." just because a few retards keep asking to ppl to adopt animals or ppl cant do a search about vets doesnt mean there needs to be an entire section on it.
