There's a PYO farm like 3-4 miles from my house. My kids had a blast out there this morning, but we picked all we needed in about 15 minutes. Last time I checked, blueberries were $3-$4/pint in the store. Who wants some for $4/Qt? Blackberries are teeny tiny in the store and like $3/half-pint ... and these are mostly the size of quarters or bigger - how about those for $5/Qt? I'll transport them, but you need your own tupperware to store them unless you want me to bring them to you in sandwich baggies. They're only open two days a week for a few hours and I tend to come to Raleigh at least once a week (until classes start, but by then the berries will be gone). Yes, it's the same farm advertising on CL for anyone who cares. I figure this is good for the farm because they're selling berries that would otherwise rot, good for me because my kids are having fun (yes I'm adding a little $ to the price because I have to pay for gas to get to and from Raleigh), good for you because the berries are fresh, pesticide free, and cheaper than the store. If you want frozen I can arrange that - I think a pint fits in a ziploc sandwich bag, so I'd freeze them on a cookie sheet then bag them.
