Could you clarify a bit.

As a person...would you rather be an established college head coach or would you rather have an NBA championship ring as an assistant coach (or an NCAA championship ring at that)?? If that is what you mean...I'd rather be Sidney too.

But if you mean that as a fan of a certain college basketball team...you'd rather have a coach who has done nothing as a head coach and succeeded only as an assistant in the NBA as opposed to a pretty decent STILL YOUNG college coach....then that is debatable.

in a decade here Herb basically produced one NBA player (hodge) and chased off three (harrington, powell, and wilkens)

I love how the Herb apologists always said he was such a "great recruiter" but nearly all of our "great" recruits either left the program or never amounted to shit (Scooter, levi, etc).

Yes it's not a big deal to lose Keith Bean or Adam Simons... but we could have definitely used Meija, Wilkens, and Powell


Herb's track record of chasing talent off the team speaks for itself... and apparentally its following him to the West Coast... good riddance
