i wonder if the misfits purposly get left off all these documentaries, or if they want nothing to do with them
7/8/2006 9:22:48 AM
misfits are punk, not hardcore
7/8/2006 9:33:06 AM
Earth AD is fucking more hardcore than the circle jerks and black flag.
7/8/2006 9:48:48 AM
7/8/2006 9:51:59 AM
clap clap. im amazed you know mobys background. i didnt think people outside of ct knew that stuff.
7/8/2006 10:14:32 AM
But of course. That old CT stuff, like CIA and 76% Uncertain, all fucking rips. I actually don't care for the Vatican Commandos that much though, although I've been told Hit Squad for God is the record to listen to.
7/8/2006 10:31:45 AM
if were going into older CT stuff...The Pist, Wide Awake, and Cornerstone need some mention
7/8/2006 10:37:37 AM
i've heard that stephen blush exaggerates quite a bit in the book...can't wait none the less
7/8/2006 11:40:06 AM
I will definitely check it out
7/8/2006 11:43:33 PM
hellz yeah
7/8/2006 11:53:51 PM
Maybe the misfits got left out cause Danzig is a douche?
7/9/2006 1:21:42 PM
On the website it says that the Misfits are discussed, and I'm almost positive they're covered in the book.
7/9/2006 2:46:54 PM
Danzig is less of a douche than Jerry. Danzig is playing with Doyle again...but Jerry is the one refusing to do a real reunion. Glenn has stated recently that hes willing to talk about it, but jerry is being a fruit
7/9/2006 4:09:47 PM
anything that Mike Patton is involved in is likely to be great, so this probably will not suck
7/9/2006 5:49:59 PM
I'm actually quite interested in this.
7/9/2006 5:59:00 PM
bump for blasph
11/10/2006 10:20:01 PM
Yea so whatever happened to this? Did it ever release?
11/11/2006 5:17:02 PM
its been released in certain cities.closest one seems to be Charlotte, which started yesterday.
11/11/2006 5:23:33 PM

1/8/2007 8:29:06 PM
its playing at the Rialto too I think, on Glenwood.
1/9/2007 1:57:17 AM
this should be required viewing for any joker doing karate or newjack pile-ons at the brewery.
1/9/2007 3:02:08 AM
lol
1/9/2007 3:20:25 AM
^^^the rialto is so totally NOT hardcore though
1/9/2007 8:51:42 AM
i've heard this was good...not great, but good. i'll probably be there opening night.so who is stoked for that germs movie starring the guy from a walk to remember?
1/9/2007 12:21:10 PM
yes but will it be as good as the "Decline of Western Civilization" series?
1/9/2007 1:10:35 PM
no. it's 20-some years after the fact. i don't think anyone expects it to trump decline. i'm more excited about seeing old fuckers like vic bondi saying what they have to say...that, and i'm wishing for some zero boys footage. i don't think there is any in there, though.
1/9/2007 1:19:33 PM
Playing tonight at the Colony Theater @9:30. It is not playing at the Rialto as previously mentioned.http://www.therialto.com/main.php?title=now_showing_movies&&theater=Colony
1/12/2007 8:10:08 PM
Also at Galaxy in Cary, which is closer, better, and much more punk. Showtimes at 3:05, 9:05.
1/12/2007 8:23:08 PM
1/12/2007 8:47:42 PM
We just hate faggy hardcore dancing, which has a horrible person to space ratio.
1/12/2007 9:06:27 PM
kids in nc cant dance in the first place. ct kids put you fruits to shame.
1/12/2007 9:08:04 PM
^^ thats true, if the brewery ever got really full . . . . . . .
1/12/2007 9:14:13 PM
wtf is mike patton doing on that list
1/12/2007 9:47:06 PM
circle pits and stage dives
1/12/2007 10:13:33 PM
It got punk as fuck up in here for about ten minutes tonight.
1/12/2007 10:15:10 PM
It was good except that bitch in the back row who doesn't know how to shut the fuck up.
1/12/2007 11:52:46 PM
ha, i wish i could've been there tonight to see the "punk as fuck" crowd. as a normal guy who was part of the punk scene in the past (as young as age 10) i would've loved to seen it, but my nana's visitation kept me from being there. i will see it in the next few days.
1/13/2007 12:30:21 AM
It really wasn't a "punk as fuck" crowd. It was mostly the 24+ year olds who have been in it just as long as you and aren't going anywhere.Hope that doesn't disappoint.[Edited on January 13, 2007 at 1:35 AM. Reason : o]
1/13/2007 1:34:39 AM

1/13/2007 1:51:29 AM

i went to the colony. the street was full of punks. they had spikes. the film was okay. there was zero boys and die kreuzen footage which was pretty fucking cool. i wish they'd focused on the midwest more, but all in all, it was a good flick.i was really excited about the end, because as steven blush puts it in the book, hardcore died in '86. how would the younger punk kids react to that? some people were bummed. some people were pissed. hopefully the youngins can prove old blush wrong and start some raging hardcore bands.as far as raleigh history, mike and reed from coc are in it briefly, as is the brewery and some super short footage of old nc shows and fliers.[Edited on January 13, 2007 at 1:24 PM. headwalking is a more respectable art than karate. at least a lot of the norma jean white belts are getting into shit like terror, which can in turn get them into gorilla biscuits, which can then get them into real hardcore.

this really has nothing to do with hardcore but the "I wanna be your dog" cover on the Sonic Youth album Confusion is Sex was recorded at the Pier in Raleigh.alittle Raleigh info for ya.
