it seems that I am always sick... and it is starting to piss me off.Anytime that anyone else has something it seems that I get it shortly later. Other than vitamin C, multi-vitamins, and regular exercise, what else can I do?I work a lot and go to school, and I'm sure that some of the reason I keep getting sick is because I'm stressed... but... this is ridiculous. The last two weeks it's been a stomach thing... and let me tell you, puking till 3 in the morning and popping the blood vessels in your face is not a good thing when you have to go to work the next day.

Are you getting plenty of sleep? Stress does play a factor...but whenever I'm not getting a decent amount of sleep, I almost definitely get sick.

I was feeling ridiculously shitty when I was in summer session. I'd get up at 6:30, leave at 7, have class 8-930, come home and sleep for 2-3 hours and then work 3:30-12:30AM. Then I wouldn't be able to fall back asleep until like, 2 or 3 in the morning, and it was this wretched vicious cycle. I swear to god, 3 days after summer session ended, I felt so much better.You should defintely go to a doctor. You might have a thyroid problem. I was diagnosed with being hypothyroid (my body doesnt make enough of some kind of hormones) in 5th grade and I have been on meds since. If I miss one day of my thyroid medication, I feel like a tractor trailer hit me. It's wretched to be so dependant on my medication, but I have to be. Maybe you have mono? Or pregnant?

wash your hands a lot. my mom is a teacher and in contact with sick kids all day. she washes her hands at least once a class, and is hardly ever sick.

^I would think that would build up her immune system though? I for one hardly ever get sick and I am just as dirty as the next person.

yeah, i've met people who use hand sanitizers and other such things to an extreme, and i think that is part of the reason they are getting sick all the time (cause they are always coming down with some sort of cold or something)

I always get sick when I am stressed/low on sleep. It's pretty much a given that I'm going to get sick around final exams. I've never heard of anyone who gets sick to their stomach, though. Usually stress-related illnesses are more like colds, with just general feeling like crap. At least for people I know.When I feel like I might get sick I always start taking zinc supplements, which seems to help a lot, but I feel sure that wouldn't really do anything for stomach stuff. You should probably go see a doctor. If you're in summer session, I'm pretty sure the health center has stress-diagnosis services.

thanks... I've been in bed all day and the rest of me feels better... but, I think I will have to go to the doc about my stomach. I just need a new doctor... mine are a bunch of quacks. Last time I had something seriously wrong with my knee (it's missing cartiledge) they said that everything was normal... then randomly called my insurance company requesting an emergency orthopedic visit... and never even called me. I found out from my insurance company that there was something wrong. Then they'd call a bunch of times over the following week and tell me that they read the x-ray/mri/ultrasound charts wrong for my knee and come up with all this crap. So, if they cna't figure out something as "simple" as a knee problem, how would they figure out a stomach problem?

^ Not really. Orthopedic problems are generally strictly "mechanical" in nature and can't really hide themselves. Symptoms from a busted joint or broken bone are normally very obvious and can easily be seen on xray and mri scans. A virus/bacteria can present symptoms in many ways and pinpointing the exact bug to make an adequate prognosis can require a lot of detective work.
