And I Saw It In The Sky, i Thought It Was The End, I Thought It Was The 4th Of July. This song always reminds me of the tornado of July 4th 1999 in Minnesota. I was on a camping trip, in the middle of the boundary waters lakes, about mid day the sky turned jet black and then all hell broke loose. We pulled our canoes onto the shore and took cover, shit was blowing everywhere, trees were snapping, it was crazy. when it was over we emerged from the woods to the shore and looked out across the lake and saw for miles, the trees had just been all knocked down like dominos. i dont think it was a tornado, but actually a wind shear or something, but it was pretty fuckin cool. so then we spent the next few weeks of the trip hiking and portaging the canoes from lake to lake through the storm debris until we made it out. it was fuckin coolhttp://www.ra.dnr.state.mn.us/bwca/
