7/3/2006 3:03:48 PM
you forgot the biggest mystery of the summer...WILL THE BOBCATS RE-SIGN JUMAINE JONES AND MELVIN ELY?I've lost countless nights of sleep over this already
7/3/2006 3:25:57 PM
AHHH BRAIN FREEEZE
7/3/2006 3:28:12 PM
^^ hahaThe Hornets are being really aggressive, they got bobby jackson too...
7/3/2006 4:13:47 PM
yeah the Hornets will most likely make the playoffs next year, hell they got close this yearChris Paul (as much as we as NCSU fans might hate him for what he did to Jules) is an absolutely badass basketball player
7/3/2006 4:21:03 PM
^true but look at felton's numbers after the breakI'm not saying he'll be as good as paul, but I think he'll be close, and certainly better than Deron WilliamsI think if he plays 35-40 mins a night as PG with knight either traded or playing limited minutes, then raymond's stats will be right up there with paul'sNow that they both have to rely on a white scorer with no D and with bad facial hair, I don't know how I like either's chances to make the playoffs at this point
7/3/2006 4:53:03 PM
Speedy Claxton is an Atlanta Hawk now
7/3/2006 6:08:47 PM
^that fucks up their strategy of having an entire roster filled with 6 foot 9 fowardsI say they turn around and trade Speedy for Darius Miles
7/3/2006 7:02:25 PM
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2508742Ben Wallace is a Bull now, the biggest move this offseason barring Iverson getting dealt to the Celtics as rumors are sayin
7/3/2006 9:44:32 PM
who would the celtics lose? i cant come up with something fair, allen is a philly trademark just like mcnab
7/3/2006 10:10:14 PM
Bulls were already a playoff team without Big Ben. With him, they'll make some serious noise in the playoffs.
7/3/2006 10:21:40 PM
i disagree, his greedy ass left for only 1 mil morehe'll tear an ACLI hope
7/3/2006 10:23:18 PM
Ben Wallace isnt THAT good anymore... he was a liability in the Cleveland series... his numbers have dropped off like crazy the past few years and he is way too much of a non-factor on offense to offset any drop in production.Hope they get a post scorer in exchange for Tyson Chandler
7/3/2006 10:39:25 PM
im reading kg to detroit and it is a deal not including rip and billups?
7/3/2006 11:33:49 PM
I've been hearing too much talk about Kobe and Wade practicing this summer on Wade's defense. Also, Odom will be trying to convince Wade to come to the lakers in a couple years when he is a free agent.wth?

rumor mill: Chandler to Hornets for PJ Brown and JR Smith
7/4/2006 10:07:55 AM
Tyson Chandler to the Hornets for JR Smith and PJ Brown deal is donehttp://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2510218[Edited on July 5, 2006 at 6:03 PM. Reason : ..]
7/5/2006 6:02:17 PM
isnt allen iverson supposed to be traded this season?
7/5/2006 6:22:31 PM
rumor says Celts are tryna get him
7/5/2006 6:28:21 PM
wouldve been nice to get simmons instead of jr smith, but whatever
7/5/2006 7:05:05 PM
wow, just read that the Bucks already signed Noel to a multi-year contractand the Bucks just traded TJ Ford for Villanuevaand apparently changed their team colors, no more purple
7/6/2006 1:03:35 PM
that Ford trade was 3-4 days ago.... they needed another big, Joe Smith was killing them and they dont want Maagloire back... Charlie Bell and Williams played well at PG last year so Ford was expendable...rookie contracts are easy to come to agreement on in the NBA because the salary structure is rigid.
7/6/2006 1:20:35 PM
Marquis Daniels to the Pacers for Austin CroshereI liked marquis, but he was holdin up funds for someone that didnt play much at all behind stackhouse and howard (who really came into his own this year, loved seeing that happen)Plus Croshere only has one year left on his contract, and since van horn might be bouncin out we get a player or comparible production for less money and more cap space later on.Derek Fisher to the Jazz for Brown, Keith McLeod, and Andre Owensdont really care much about this one, hahah. but fisher should help deron williams develop his game, cause he was barely a blip on the radar last year
7/6/2006 1:49:59 PM
in Deron's defense not even John Stockton played well under Jerry Sloan as a rookie...Deron caught a lot of flack last year, mostly just because he wasn't Chris Paul. One of my friends is a devout Jazz fan and he swears he's still happy with Deron.... Chris Paul wouldn't produce the same numbers in Utah's system as he did in a run & gun offense in NOK.He also swears up and down that Deron owned CPIII when they played heads up...
7/6/2006 2:00:12 PM
Just from what I have seen, CPIII is much better... but I dont really notice anything the Jazz do...But like I said in another thread, I love all the trading and now lets see AI and KG move on outIm guessing the Bulls arent going to go for KG anymore like many originally said...Keep on trading I like seeing the people and places change[Edited on July 6, 2006 at 2:14 PM. Reason : >.<]
7/6/2006 2:14:07 PM
7/6/2006 2:19:29 PM
yeah im really hoping iverson goes to the celtics... it makes sense, they've got plenty of youth they could trade back...seeing two of my favorite players in the league in the same backcourt (iverson and delonte)... and then Paul Pierce at SF? That team would score at will.^ Um, they played the Bulls tough twice in the finals... and those Bulls teams were some of the greatest NBA teams ever assembled... they've been floundering the last couple of seasons b/c they couldnt find good guards and Kirilenko and Boozer can't seem to stay healthy... [Edited on July 6, 2006 at 2:22 PM. Reason : a]
7/6/2006 2:20:07 PM
I just want to see those guys somewhere differentAI in green, KG in something elsebut the Celtics are putting the parts together, but is the Coach going to do well with them?and as far as the Eastern conference goes, dont forget about OrlandoBobcats are still a year away, and they will wait im sure to make their big free agent move, probably trade May and Ely... i dont really know
7/6/2006 2:29:28 PM
7/6/2006 2:46:17 PM
yeah I mean that was the rumor before they made all their moves for Wallace, Brown, Smith, and Thomasso I doubt they need his contract on their cap nowand there is no doubt of the Knicks failure coming this yearit will be truely great to watch again
7/6/2006 2:51:37 PM
^^They need post scoring.
7/6/2006 2:52:37 PM
^^ actually the plan was to sign Ben Wallace then trade Thomas, Deng, and a first rounder for Garnett...Minnesota probably should have just done the deal and hoped for the best with Tyrus Thomas... I'm not sure if they coulda maintained the option to swap with the knicks...Garnett is running out of time, he's got to leave Minnesota next year
7/6/2006 4:07:02 PM
Just when the LAST Charlotte Hornet leaves NOK (PJ Brown), they get Ced so I have to kind of still pull for them^i doubt he'll ever leave unless its to LA]
7/6/2006 5:11:52 PM
Cam is on the Heat's summer league team!
7/6/2006 5:14:43 PM
On the Chandler to Hornets for PJ Brown and JR Smith trade. I think the Hornets got tired of having guys with initials for first names on their team. Actually PJ Brown outproduced Chandler, but of course he's old as dog shit and JR Smith fell out of favor with Hornet management.[Edited on July 6, 2006 at 5:32 PM. Reason : ^^ didn't read that post]
7/6/2006 5:31:54 PM
Chandler can still be a dominant defensive player, he just didn't have his head in the game this past season after signing that big deal and not working out for most of the summer (worried about getting hurt before the guaranteed money kicked in)...Chandler was just expendable because you can't really play him alongside of Ben Wallace and expect your backcourt to score 100 points by themselves...PJ Brown posts solid numbers and more importantly his contract expires at the end of the year...JR Smith sucks, i don't see him getting any playoff minutes behind Heinrich, Gordon, and Duhon...
7/6/2006 5:54:56 PM
considering JR runs the 2 he would come up behind Gordon anyways
7/6/2006 10:24:39 PM
Goodness, I just realized that the Hornets' centers are Tyson Chandler and Hilton Armstrongwhat's this playoffs thing you guys are talking aboot
7/7/2006 6:41:46 AM
7/7/2006 7:16:40 AM
yeah but that was MJ
7/7/2006 7:28:19 AM
Apparently Grundy is now on the Mavs summer league:
7/7/2006 11:34:13 AM
i dont want you state kids jumpin on my Mavs bandwagon cause of this
7/7/2006 11:40:49 AM
There's plenty of room on the mavs bandwagon after games 3-6 of the finals
7/7/2006 11:46:18 AM
>.<
7/7/2006 11:53:19 AM
They finalized the Battier - Rockets deal
7/12/2006 10:32:54 PM
So AI is not getting traded and KG wont be traded.............this offseason SUCKS, im tired of those guys being where they are
7/27/2006 7:24:38 AM
they should be traded straight up..Jamaal Magloire to the Blazers for Steve Blake, Brian Skinner, and Ha-Seung Jinhttp://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregonian/index.ssf?/base/sports/1154233522227540.xml&coll=7Jarrett Jack is pretty much the man in Portland, and Big Cat has to beat out Joel Prizdfjjdkjfbilla for the starting spot
