I have been looking at direct banking institutions (such as ING, HSBC, etc.). Does anyone have any recommendations on which one is best?

HSBC is offering over 5.0% currently. ( )

Something with a minimum balance and such would be best. I don't want a few hundred or thousand dollars tied up in an account.

I have an HSBC account in the UK that has worked fine for me, well handy for vacations and stuff - though I don't know much about their direct banking.

I use ING for my online savings account, and that has served me quite well - very easy to accomplish all the tasks I need to accomplish, and I really have no complaints.

Recently found a comparison of the highest interest rates:

I think I will go with HSBC but I am looking at other options as well.
