who the hell do you think you are charging almost $50 to play on the weekend?you are one step above a municipal course
7/2/2006 1:16:02 PM
(go somewhere else)
7/2/2006 1:20:47 PM
i thought I'd give them a try since I heard conditions were nicethe past several times I played there (last season) the course was absolute shit

7/2/2006 3:52:55 PM
And this is why we play real sports instead of golf.
7/2/2006 4:02:38 PM
they dont take care of their greens for shit, they dont do a damn thing to the course, a 50 dollar charge is a fucking ripoff.
7/2/2006 6:07:47 PM
Last time I went there they had aerated the greens (not even bothering to clean the plugs up from the green) and didn't say a word about it. My own back lawn would have been better putting conditions and that ain't saying much. Absolutely shitty golfing. Never gone back.
7/2/2006 6:19:27 PM
if you were bitching about aeration that had been cleaned properly, youre at fault. courses cant change their rates because of aeration, it has to be done around 3 times a year, and its just one of those things you deal with. if they didnt brush off all of the plugs, they are just lazy fucking jackasses and i agree with you.

went to Eagle Ridge instead and had a hell of a time for $27fuck you, RGA and your jaded elitist attitude
7/2/2006 7:10:53 PM
yeah eagle ridge is a good deal
7/2/2006 7:50:58 PM
i played at headingham a while back and with student discount it wasn't extremely expensive
7/2/2006 7:51:29 PM
Not to mention RGA is a glorified chip and putt course. Even from the blues an average golfer can reach the par 5's in two with little trouble.I agree with tke. Eagle Ridge, as well as Crooked Creek, have great student rates if you can find time to play during the week.Despite RGA being shitty, I play there a lot, sometimes playing up to 36 holes for their $18 rate. Rarely do I ever play anywhere on weekends anymore, it's far too expensive. Clearly courses don't mind golf's rich man's game stigma.
7/2/2006 9:04:34 PM
that's a very good point ... I dont think I've ever played a round of golf on the weekend :x
7/2/2006 9:06:01 PM
i live like 3 miles from eagle ridge and have never played there. i'm gonna have to take advantage of that student rate sometime soon...
7/2/2006 9:15:49 PM
^Student rate, as I recall, gets you 18 holes, a cart, and a bucket of range balls. And considering the layout and the condition of the course, it's definitely not the kind of place you play for $27.[Edited on July 2, 2006 at 9:21 PM. Reason : Just went to their website: $29 mon-thurs]

Eagle Ridge >>>> RGAjust use lastminutegolfer.com to get really good deals on local courses. I dont think I have played RGA in about a year, simply because you get to play a lot more courses at a much cheaper price, if you're willing to drive about 30mins out.

I've been playing at Lochmere lately. $25 for 18 with a cart is nice. and the course is MUCH nicer than RGA, and just about 10 minutes away.
