i guess ill just have to retire it to a desktop and buy a new cheap computer for taking to classes because they wanted $899 to fix the lcd which cracked all by itself...any word?

I had no clue how to install it, but then I read the manual I downloaded for it at hp.com and it showed me how to install my 100$ 15" laptop screen I got off Ebay. I encourage you to do the same.

so i ended up buying the same lcd but a different manufacturer (hydis) for $260 from blisscomputers.com...installation took about a half hour since i had never done it before but all is well and it works great...
