I moved to San Antonio about 3 weeks ago, and since I don't actually know anyone, I figured a dog would be a nice thing to have. His name is Ash --named after Bruce 'Boomstick' Campbell-- and he's ~8 weeks old. He was a little pricey at ~$500, but I figure what the hell. Oh yea, in case you can't tell by the pics he's a Welsh Corgi.

awwwwwwwww so cute!!!!! my dog is welsh corgi (pembroke - tricolor), too. many ppl say he is a miniture german sheperd though because of his colors. but he is not as smart as sheperd.. just be really careful not to make him fattie.. corgis are very greedy.. they are always hungry!!! so they tend to be a fattie! my dog needs to lose weight..[Edited on June 25, 2006 at 11:47 AM. I can definetly tell they can get fat. Ash eats all the time, so I've started closing the bathroom door where is his food bowl is. I love taking him for a walk, because I laugh at how fast his little legs move in relation to how not fast he's moving!

How's his temperament? And is he well trained?Very very cute! Congrats!

Im gonna go ahead and do the obligatory"You paid 5000 for a damned dog when you could've gone the the spca and adopted a really nice dog for about 150."

i love that dog already!

Corgis are a nice all-around mix, 'cause they're small, smart, and nice. Find something he can do that will make him feel like he's "working" and he'll be the happiest guy in the world. And $500 isn't all that terrible for a corgi or any purebred dog, really.
6/25/2006 5:51:43 PM
i agree with gunzz all the way. that dog is adorable.
6/25/2006 5:58:23 PM
hahahi mean i too do not get why one would buy a breeder's dog unless you're going to show itbut whatever boats your float.I think its cool that corgies were bread to be short so they didn't get kicked by livestock
6/25/2006 6:23:03 PM
Oh god, you have no idea how much I love corgis. Seriously. I'm never having kids, but I totally want two of these.
6/25/2006 6:32:00 PM
I meant 500 come all you masters of obvious
6/25/2006 6:35:54 PM
cute, but I couldn't drop 500 bones on a dog
6/25/2006 6:44:04 PM
yeah... i mean i spent 100 on mine and she had her guts pulled already and shots done. And breeder dogs tend to be dumb like West Virginians.

He seems to be very intelligent because he's gotten used to his leash fairly quickly. However, when he doesn't want to go, he simply won't go. He sure does attract a lot of attention, though. I had one old lady at the airport on Friday offer money for him!!
6/25/2006 7:44:54 PM
