Okay so here's the deal.

I'm going to grad school at columbia starting july 5th. I am moving to nyc with my girlfriend in a week. We don't yet have an apartment. I am flying up to nyc tomorrow morning, and I basically have to find an apartment before I leave. I have found some places with open houses, but one of the open houses isn't until tomorrow at 7pm (after the last flight out), and another one is on sunday. Being an independent student I don't really have the cash to drop on a hotel (I'm getting a big fin aid check, but haven't gotten it yet).

Would anyone be willing to spare a couch for a fellow tdubber. I would stay out of your way. I could stay out until you wanted to go to sleep then I could come in and crash, or we could hang out if ya wanted. I could buy a case or something. Also, I fly for free since my mom works for usairways (just in case you were going to ask how I could pay for a flight, but not a hotel room).

I'll be looking primarily in astoria queens, but am willing to crash anywhere in the city. Let me know if anyone can help me out.

so you don't think I should use that site? I'm a little skeptical, but most of the people seem really cool, and I mean there are a bunch of young 20somethings in grad school or what have you, and young couples as well.
