that would suck, but wilbon just suggested he thinks it will happen. the only reason it would be good is that he could teach the young guys we have.
6/23/2006 7:08:34 PM
ya, because we all know Larry Brown loves young guys.
6/23/2006 7:10:09 PM
i bet he likes them better than "star"bury
6/23/2006 7:21:19 PM
If Grandpa Tarheel comes in, they may change the bobcats colors to ugly baby blue.
6/23/2006 7:47:59 PM
http://www.brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=416434bottom has the rumor
6/23/2006 8:12:46 PM
Larry Brown is not colored.
6/23/2006 8:52:46 PM
yeah, larry brown would be AWFUL. what's he ever done??what the hell are you talking about? take your wolfpack blinders off. the man can coach. if he took over for bickerstaff that would be awesome.
6/23/2006 10:16:13 PM
Maybe he doesn't want the Bobcats to succeed...?I don't care either way.
6/23/2006 11:21:53 PM
Steven A. Smith was just talking about this on Quite Frankly.. he said that this will never happen because Bob Johnson is cheap(which is why he is so rich) and will not pay LB the money he wants.. and another interested thing he mentioned was MJ was trying to hire Dean Smith as a consultant.. WTF the bobcats would be turning into the damn tarholes
6/23/2006 11:51:12 PM

6/24/2006 1:03:49 AM
You tell me what makes him such a good coach then? The Knicks gave up on him after one year.
6/24/2006 1:08:50 AM
i'm not going to type up a summary of his career achievements dude. google it yourself
6/24/2006 1:11:44 AM
Did you see the players he had in NY? Nobody could win with those guys. Let alone the fact that Isaiah Thomas is retarted. I'm not saying LB is the best fit for the Bobcats right now but he's still an amazing coach.
6/24/2006 1:12:28 AM
He has coached 8 different NBA teams and won 1 championship. He is like Phil Jackson, in that for the most part he only coaches loaded teams like the 94 Pacers, but he is unlike Phil Jackson because he could never win it all.
6/24/2006 1:14:11 AM
those nuggets, spurs, nets, 76s and clippers teams sure were loaded with top talent
6/24/2006 1:16:00 AM

Larry Brown is a good Coach, his wins and the things he has done with not so good things speaks for itselfthis last year with the knicks was a shame
6/24/2006 9:30:45 AM
6/24/2006 10:31:48 AM
Damn I am wrong guys.I hope Charlotte hires a guy who will be gone in under 3 years. If they hire him after this season he will do 3 options:A) RetireB) Leave for another team like alwaysC) Get Fired againLarry Brown is not the answer no matter how much you suck him off.
6/24/2006 11:20:35 AM
haha charlotte will suck for 10 more years and then move to LV
6/24/2006 11:37:59 AM
^^you should not be posting in this threadyou've already made it very clear that you have no idea what you're talking about
6/24/2006 12:33:10 PM
larry brown is an escape artist and a con-man
6/24/2006 1:27:00 PM
he can coach thoughand when he does eventually escape, the team is always left in better shape than when he got there
6/24/2006 1:29:30 PM
^and possibly on NCAA probation. When he coached at KU he was chasing some high school girl.
6/24/2006 1:39:16 PM
shit i hope if he goes to the bobcats they dont get put on NCAA probation

^Looks to me like most share my opinion and don't want Larry Fucking Brown to coach here.I mean I know Charlotte is one of the few NBA teams that he hasn't coached but damn we don't need him. I actually care/watch our team.
6/24/2006 5:39:24 PM
most share your opinion? 3 people in this thread? okay buddy
6/24/2006 5:41:43 PM
6/24/2006 5:46:40 PM
yeahTOO BAD HE WAS FIRED
6/24/2006 5:53:20 PM
look, the fact of the matter is, larry brown is an excellent basketball coach.if larry brown were to coach the bobcats, their improvment would be much more substantial than it has been or will be under bickerstaff.if you can't admit that then you're too stubborn to even discuss this with
6/24/2006 5:58:05 PM
He's also not been out of basketball for a full season since '72.34 straight years of coaching deserves props all its own. He hasn't needed a hiatus, sabbatical, etc. or, quite frankly, had much of a chance to take one; his services have been WANTED the whole time. The situation in New York is a joke and should not be used against him. Worst coaching move in sports since Willingham/ND.
6/24/2006 6:23:05 PM
1974-79 Denver Nuggets (ABA 1974-76, NBA thereafter)did he coach DT(david Thompson)
6/26/2006 12:34:06 PM
6/26/2006 12:46:42 PM
pffff, OKAYcall me stubborn then. i think his coaching achievements speak for themselves
6/26/2006 3:11:55 PM
yea that was the only city he's coached in an had a losing record. I might say that his coaching there could be a sign of him on the downslope, but after just one year in an awful organization with the players he had....that'd be pretty tough to write him off after what he's done.
6/26/2006 3:15:09 PM
hire him, just cause he graduated from carolina, nothing but purtee studs come out of chapel hill, and because of that he will succeed, no one fails that graduates from carolina...true story
6/26/2006 3:44:25 PM
brown is a great coach but i dont think he would fit with the bobcatshe has a history of burying young players and the bobcats are nothing but young players.
6/26/2006 3:52:21 PM
dude just signed a 40 million dollar contract with the knicks for 5 yearshe coached one yearhe got fired and the knicks are gonna still pay him 8 million a year for the next 4 yearsdo we really want a coach that cant stay in one place for more than a couple yearswhat was brown's longest consecutive coaching tenure at any one place? i'd be shocked if it was more than 4-5 years
6/26/2006 4:44:18 PM
fuck larry brown in charlotte
