i dont like it
6/22/2006 9:36:42 AM
I dont think we need AldridgeBargnani is being pumped up right now, but I honestly dont know anything about him so I cant comment on himTyrus Thomas has upside, but he wont be on the court for flat out scoring abilityMorrison is just the oppositeSo pick defense or offenseor just pick Roy, who from what Ive seen, can do what you need him to do
6/22/2006 9:44:37 AM
Michael Jordan = Kwame BrownThis is not good for the Bobcats. Roy probably is the most NBA ready of the top-5 players though none are clear future stars.
6/22/2006 9:57:27 AM
I like him because he seems level headed and he finished his schoolFeltonRoyWallaceOkaforBrezec
6/22/2006 10:02:18 AM
i've seen saying Roy or bust since the lottery but i'd be happy with Roy, Gay or Morisson
6/22/2006 10:05:41 AM
if they could trade down and get another player from a team thats pretty good already this would be the draft to do it in...^those were my three, I do like Thomas as well... BK's contract isnt that bad on our cap, so i cant see how trading him would help...Roy might be left after 2 picks anyway, the bulls are just fucking with us
6/22/2006 10:10:24 AM
we need to get Iverson
6/22/2006 10:13:02 AM
my vote goes to Roy also.
6/22/2006 10:17:59 AM
^^ you being serious??because im down with thatI want a blockbuster name here... KG, AI, somethingwe have lots of money
6/22/2006 10:21:28 AM
6/22/2006 10:21:55 AM
now that im thinking about it, it would be bad ass to have him hereFeltonIversonWallaceOkaforBrezecIm down with that
6/22/2006 10:24:45 AM
they just need a player that can take over a game, and they're not going to get that in this year's draft.
6/22/2006 10:26:55 AM
I see us as a team that plays, umm top 25% best defense in the NBAOur picks and trades should reflect thatIsnt Iverson one of the highest at steals in the league?
6/22/2006 10:33:36 AM
id like to see yall get ben wallace, that would be interesting
6/22/2006 10:39:16 AM
^^yeah but if it would be at all possible to afford iverson, his defense would be great...but he's also the player who you give the ball to with 20 seconds left in a tie game...before we never really had that...also he's one of the few players in the league that could put up 40 or 50 points on any given night^he'd be a great player anywhere...i just think defensive big men are not as much of a concern for us as big scorers]
6/22/2006 10:39:57 AM
yea, yall are sort of in the middle of run n gun and defensive team (from the games Ive seen, i admit dont watch toomuch bobcat basketball)so this years offseason will help determine which side yall wanna swing to, jordan should add some needed direction as well
6/22/2006 10:43:23 AM
Jordan's gonna place a $5,000,000 bet in Vegas about who the Bobcats draft I'll bet
6/22/2006 10:44:31 AM
^^^^I know he's nowhere near Ben Wallace but that was a big reason we got Okafor(if he can stay healthy) is because of his defense so I agree we need a bigtime scoring option instead. I really like Roy just as an all around player[Edited on June 22, 2006 at 11:03 AM. Reason : a]
6/22/2006 11:03:13 AM
Stay at #3 and pick Roy if he is there and if he isn't pick Rudy Gay, who has way more upside anyhow.I mean really a 6'8" shooting guard who can jump out of the building. He will be as good if not better than Roy.
6/22/2006 11:04:51 AM
I question his efforthe looks bored, but maybe its because hes that damn good
6/22/2006 11:14:43 AM
6/22/2006 11:17:56 AM
they could get way more than a shitty number 1 pick and alvin williams for Brevin Knight and a #3 pick.Brevin led the fucking league in assist to turnover ratio and was 3rd in the league in assists.not to mention top 5 in steals.this would be a terrible move if we make it.Let other teams court us with offers for Knight, but dont just jump at the first bite.Dammit Jordan....you better come through.
6/22/2006 11:19:09 AM
yea this is a terrible deal. there's no consensus #1. we'd be happy with gay, roy, or morrison, and we can get 1 of those 3 at the 3rd pick. it just doesnt make any sense. of those 3, i'd think roy would be the one that would definitely still be there. dont get it.

June 22, 2006Players Cancel On The BobcatsEither everyone in this NBA draft is injured, or no one wants to audition for the Charlotte Bobcats. LaMarcus Aldridge, Tyrus Thomas and Brandon Roy -- three of the top six players in the draft Wednesday -- pulled out of workouts scheduled for today with the Bobcats. Coach-general manager Bernie Bickerstaff expressed frustration with the situation in an interview with the Observer on Tuesday night. "Bottom line, we're just not happy with the way things went down,'' he said of the wave of cancellations. So will they be rescheduled between now and the draft? "At this point, no,'' Bickerstaff said. -- Charlotte Observer
6/22/2006 12:00:20 PM
this tells me there's no deal, and we take gay at #3
6/22/2006 12:06:50 PM
hopefully whoever we draft wont pull a kobe
6/22/2006 12:37:39 PM
fuck what Kobe for what he did to us
6/22/2006 1:34:06 PM
MJ,Please don't Wiz on our Bobcats.Sincerely,markgoal
6/22/2006 1:35:31 PM
good point
6/22/2006 1:39:34 PM
GM Bernie Bickerstaff has been active in trying to trade up or down in the draft. The recently rumored swap that would send Brevin Knight and the No. 3 pick to Toronto for Alvin Williams and the No. 1 was shot down by Colangelo on Wednesday. It's still unclear, however, what the Bobcats want to accomplish. With Michael Jordan in a decision-making role, will they dump their strategy of building slowly through the draft and opt for a more aggressive approach that brings in veterans? At this point, the Bobcats look more and more likely to stay at No. 3. They are zeroing in on Roy, who's likely to be available when they pick. ---Sounds like this was just a rumor and nothing else

I just dont understand why you would turn down a workout with anyone.. i mean what is it gonna hurt.. you never know how far you might slide (aka the NFL Draft).. i just dont understand a workout with an NBA team.. if your dream is to play in the NBA then their is no reason to turn down a workout unless you truely are injured, and if so you should clearly explain that
6/22/2006 6:22:41 PM
Charlotte is just a mess right now. The team is alright and all, but everything upstairs needs to get fixed if they expect this franchise to survive and do well.
6/22/2006 8:21:12 PM
rudy gay is a clear future star
6/22/2006 9:04:55 PM
a future star of "NBA's biggest busts" lists
6/22/2006 9:08:22 PM
I would take Brandon Roy with the #1 pick. I just hope the Hawks are smart enough to take a point guard this time around.
6/22/2006 9:10:29 PM
^ dude, they have Grundy (even I forgot that when I posted my mock draft)
6/22/2006 9:27:07 PM

As much as I love Jordan the player, I completely agree
