So I applied to get health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC last week and today I got a phone call from them saying they want to schedule a physical examination for me. The catch is they said they'd come to my house to do it. Has anyone ever heard of this before? It sounds really really sketchy to me, and I'm kind of weirded out about it.

yes, they have to make sure you are in good health in order to insure youmy parents have had in house exams before every time they change health insurance companiesif you are worried about it, have a friend there with you when they come, but they are very professional about it. usually check blood pressure, breathing, pulse, ask you a bunch of questions about health history and family health. might take blood and urine samples, but not sure as i was never in the room when my parents did this.

They're just going to weigh you, check your blood pressure/heart rate, and make you piss in a cup. Hope you studied for your drug test or your insurance will triple. You can go to a local clinic to have it done if you don't want them coming to you.
