Hey ladies,


I graduated in Dec. and can no longer go to the NCSU gyno. For those who have been in the same situation, who do you now use? I need to make my yearly appointment. Would like suggestions of where you go and the name of the dr/nurse practioner. Thanks

I see the dr's over at http://www.wakeobgyn.com They have 2 locations...one on Six Forks at the beltline and off Falls of Neuse at 540. There are about 7 doctors there, all pretty good.

I loathed the people at Student Health's ob/gyn, or at least that old lady gyno. She pissed me off. Anywho, I got to Wilmington ob/gyn and see Dr. Brown (I guess unless you live around there it's not worth it) and they are the best ever.

i was recommended mid-carolina obgyn and i'm glad i was...i went, really liked the place and my doctor--Dr. Watson (female)
the office was very nice and quick...i was in and out in 30 minutes.

They're rude and don't care about the choices you've made - they'll try to push theirs on you, while denying you your choice.

and as weird as this may sound, getting a doctor that also does deliveries or will still be doing deliveries by the time you may want to start having a family is a good idea...so you're with a doctor that knows your history etc

be glad you dont have to go to the campus one. Everytime I went, I cramped and had "issues" for a week. When I went back home, I never had these problems. Last time, it made me have a period for a month.

^^I dont know, but she said that "spotting for a couple of days was normal" I called her back the next week, and said something was wrong. She said to just treat it like a period till it went away-which was a month later. I saw the sample, and the whole thing was covered in blood, so I'm guessing she jabbed me a little too hard, that was her guess too. But it was miserable, as you could imagine.
Oh, the only reason I went was for a yearly check-up, nothing more.

Ugh, agreed, do not ever go to Planned Parenthood, they just assume you are a whore and will not listen to you no matter what. I went there when I was 17 to get on the pill without my parents knowing and they asked how many partners I had, and when I responded "one", she would'nt believe me and went on this whole schpiel about how I shouldn't lie about my sexual history because it's endangering to my health. I told her I was telling the truth, and she just was refusing to believe I wasn't lying, and it was really frustrating.

I've never had a problem, there are independent gynos that are unprofessional also.
