I had this same problem trying to delete some PowerPoint files for a huge semester-long project. Not only did I attempt to send them to myself, when they finally went through it also saved it as Sent Mail and clogged everything up.Let me see if I can find anything for you (the old tech support email)ETA oh, well there you go then.[Edited on June 19, 2006 at 11:29 PM. that solution sucks (not the gmail but the "don't use trash"), if you do this you lose all of your trash, which may not be a problem but you never know.i find it interesting that they don't suggest this in case you haven't done it.go to sysnews.ncsu.edu, login, click quota manager and then increase you email quota. They start you off with 50mb for your email, afs space, and novell each. Which comes to 150mb, however there is another 150mb available to you which they do not distribute to any of the spaces. You can go in and redistribute all of your space however you like. Also make sure you delete you "sent" and "trash" mail regularly.[Edited on June 20, 2006 at 1:17 AM. Reason : .]
