This is a good movie. You all should go and see it. You won't be disappointed.CRAP! I meant to post this in Entertainment... Oh well.[Edited on June 16, 2006 at 2:12 PM. Reason : You still won't be disappointed.]

It's a secret plot to hook the next generation on oil.
6/16/2006 2:14:47 PM
man, what a moron
6/16/2006 2:15:43 PM
Did you notice the only African American in the movie was too obnoxious?
6/16/2006 2:16:14 PM
Somebody on NPR this morning proposed that Cars was the "beginning of the end" for Pixar. They make one mediocre movie and it's the end of studio that single-handedly pulled Disney out of the red? Damned skittish liberal media.
6/16/2006 2:22:06 PM
well, if they makea half-assed movie and it does really well then why bother making quality films in the future?
6/16/2006 2:23:12 PM
I don't think Cars will do that well. It looks pretty lame to me. But I suppose that their target market is 5-7 year olds who think that a slinky is the pinnicle of entertainment. So I guess you never know.
6/16/2006 2:42:45 PM
well, it did 60+ mil in it's opening weekend... so it'll probably do fine financially
6/16/2006 2:46:01 PM
I'm excited about their next one: Ratatouille
6/16/2006 3:00:31 PM
Larry the Cable Guy = no way in hell I'm seeing it.
6/16/2006 3:08:57 PM
this is the first shitty movie pixar has madei'm not kidding, it's AWFULthe jokes are stupid, the love story is gay, the supporting characters aren't funny and are really bad/obvious stereotypesit's a shame that the people that made the incredibles and toy story have to put their name on this
6/16/2006 4:42:08 PM
i dont know about you but aside from toy story, shrek 1, and ants(best one) these cgi movies really suck, the jokes are just too cute and just dont work for mei prefer regular animation
6/16/2006 5:00:30 PM
^ Toy Story 2 is a piece of absolute genius. I can't believe you put Ants and fucking Shrek on your list of decent CGI movies ahead of pictures with quality characters and genuine emotional conflict.
6/16/2006 7:28:28 PM
The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, and Shrek 1 were cool.
6/16/2006 8:03:21 PM
Toy Story 1 & 2, Monsters, Incredibles, and Nemo are all great (Shrek 1 is close, too). All the other ones just rely on pop-culture gags and too many big-name voices. (haven't seen Cars yet)
6/16/2006 10:58:20 PM
i really enjoyed it.. one of the better movies ive seen recently. I thought it was pretty funny and had a good story.
6/17/2006 12:39:19 AM
I thought it started out kind of slow, but I really liked the ending.Ratatouille looks really good too though. It might even be their best (except for The Incredibles) judging from the short trailer.
6/17/2006 12:55:01 AM
Damn I was gonna go see this tomorrow
6/17/2006 12:58:22 AM
i say go see it. i thought it was worth the 6.50 i payed.
6/17/2006 12:58:58 AM
this was really lame and extremely predictable the characters didnt have soul like in toy storyi guess the only good thing was that some of the scenes looked pretty realistic[Edited on June 17, 2006 at 1:08 AM. Reason : f]
6/17/2006 1:08:09 AM
6/17/2006 1:12:41 AM
yeah thats the thing i dont like about these movies, the characters are so arteficial, but some of them are cool like in ants the ant was cool
6/17/2006 1:56:03 PM
That's funny, I thought the ants in Antz were the most poorly constructed characters in any CGI movies. The abundance of dark interiors made for shitty, lazy animation, too.
6/17/2006 2:00:33 PM
i still like the toy story animations better than most of the 3d movies that have come out since :p..besides finding nemo
6/17/2006 2:11:11 PM
I may go see it next weekend.
6/17/2006 2:42:47 PM
I liked it. It's no Finding Nemo, but it's still pretty good.
6/17/2006 4:06:41 PM
I enjoyed it for the most part. It was definitely the weakest of all the pixar movies, but still excellent overall. There were some really slow parts, especially in the first half...The animated short at the beginning was the best one ever.
6/17/2006 7:14:48 PM
yeah it's easily the weakest of the pixar movies, but i still enjoyed it better than any of the dreamworks double entendre-laden cgi catalog
6/17/2006 8:28:34 PM
It was disappointing. And I wasn't even expecting it to be that good to start with.
6/17/2006 9:43:38 PM
it was a good movie
6/18/2006 8:26:08 AM
I was a little cautious at going to see this at firstBut I actually thought it was a pertty good movie.
6/18/2006 8:34:10 AM
i walked in thinking "this is going to be stupid as shit"i walked out thinking "that was pretty damn good."
6/18/2006 9:03:01 AM
i really liked it
6/19/2006 2:58:11 AM
wow i thought it was awesome. i liked it way better than finding nemo...maybe b/c i'm a nascar fan and like cars and stuff, and think larry is hilariousthe animated short was stupid,...i hated it.."one man band"[Edited on July 1, 2006 at 11:01 PM. Reason : ya]
7/1/2006 11:01:08 PM
well you just lose at life
7/1/2006 11:07:16 PM
i haven't seen it yet, mostly because I don't want any portion of money I pay for a ticket to support any part of Larry the Cable Guy's wealth, persona, act, whatever...but, is it true that Cars is apart from the mold of Pixar movies by having no "real world" in which the story of the title characters take place?like... what if:toys talked but avoided humans knowing they didfish talked and had to survive and live around humansmonsters were real and scared human kidsbugs could talk, and humans tried to stomp them sometimesbut in cars, its just cars hopping around, going to see races of other cars? seems.... less magical in concept.
7/2/2006 1:42:05 AM
^1. No, it's not in "human" world2. It is, indeed, "magical" because you see car equivalents of what humans would do.3. Quit PMS-ing about the most stupid shit in a movie you've never seen.
7/2/2006 1:54:35 AM
i never noticed there were no "humans" in the film. but i'm glad... i think it would have dulled it down...i liked all the jokes they could make about the cars..."i'm not a mack, i'm a peterbilt", etc...
7/2/2006 8:51:58 AM
I thought it was entertaining
7/2/2006 9:15:48 AM
^^^ & ^^just asking. hadn't seen the movie.
7/2/2006 12:10:43 PM
I think the biggest letdown was the characters. Every one of Pixar's previous movies has interesting and complex characters. Cars was a collection of one-dimensional stereotypes. All the cars in the town can be described in one word. You have the hippie, the redneck, the Mexican, the Italian, ect. Part of the blame lies with the voice actors. Nowadays it's the hot trend to pack animated movies with celebrity voices. So far, Pixar has done a good job of choosing celebrities who have voice acting talent. But Owen Wilson? The character of Lightning is already pretty boring - you know, a young hotshot learns some unsuprising life lessons. And Owen Wilson doesn't do a thing to make the character more interesting. He's just reading lines.I did like the cameo by the Car Talk brothers. Their thirty seconds of banter was more engaging than the entire rest of the movie. ]
7/2/2006 12:37:12 PM
^ I would agree with that assessment. I still liked the movie though.
7/2/2006 2:16:26 PM
I enjoyed it, it was probably my favorite movie that I saw this weekend (went to 5)...it was pretty predictable... fairly long... but overall I enjoyed it, it made me laugh a lot and I wasn't just waiting for it to end like Nacho Libre... you wanna talk about predictable go see click

6/22/2011 9:43:43 PM
I can't believe they are making a sequel to the worst pixar movie.
6/22/2011 10:02:48 PM
Finally.Pixar has made a certifiably bad movie.
6/22/2011 10:55:58 PM
I want my incredibles 2 dammit
6/22/2011 11:30:49 PM
6/24/2011 8:25:43 AM
I'm still waiting for Monsters Inc 2even though from what I've read about MI2, Boo won't be in it [Edited on June 24, 2011 at 9:54 AM. Reason : f]
6/24/2011 9:53:06 AM
I don't want to hear from you art-house faggots about integrity. Have you ever been to a board meeting trying to convince toy makers to make figurines from a movie about a geriatric and a fat kid?
