Just wondering if there's anyone on here who has upgraded to Dapper yet, or someone who uses Ubuntu? I just have some quick questions about a little problem I encountered. I've posted my problem on a linux forum but I thought there might be someone on here who could help. Here's my problem:Somehow I did something wrong during my upgrade, I thought I was doing everything right, I went through and did everything through update manager and then after the reboot it tells me that it "failed to start the X server (your graphical interface). It is likely that it is not set up correctly. Would you like to view the X server output to diagnose the problem?" after hitting 'enter' it goes to another error window. It makes some sense to me but I'm not sure how to correct it.I'm just not sure what I did wrong. But there is now an extra 23 partitions on my hdd with several recovery modes. Hopefully all this is easy to fix but I'm not sure how I screwed it up or how to fix it.

Try this:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

Yeah ATI linux support is horrible compared to nVidia. Before I sold my zd8000 laptop, I'd have to go through and entire fucking ritual to get the display working. They are getting better, but nVidia still beats them hands down. Plus, I've always used nVidia and see no reason to switch to an inferior graphics card.
