OK, i was gonna call cingular today but they are closed on sundays. But I wanted to know beforehand. My mom and I have cellphones each with their on account (i think we both have the nation 450 with rollover). She uses about 10 minutes a month so i was thinking we should get a nation 550 family talk with rollover and just add her phone to my account. Is this considered cancelling her account, therefore having to pay the cancellation fees? And if anyone has done this is it a quick phone call and how much do you usually pay for the nation 500 with fees ($60 before fees added)?I figured we would each pay ~$15 less each month this way.

i was thinking about this, combining mine and my girlfriend's accounts since i get like a 20% discount off my bill from work.... but i didn't think they'd let me move her number to my account. now that i think about it, they probably will though. i'd probably wait until her contract is up though (it might be already). if you don't want to pay the cancelation fee, you can just switch her to a cheaper plan and wait it out.

Unless they really wanna piss off a customer, I'd say you have a fair shot at getting this to happen. I would def. go to a Cingular store though, not try it via phone. You're more likely to get them to do it in-store.I saw a couple do exactly this in an Alltel store over the weekend w/o a hitch.

there is NO problem doing this. However, both accounts will need to be in the same name in order to combine them. Other thing is, lately in store, some have not been able to pull up the ft 550 plan, and the lowest is the 700. You may be able to get the 550 though. This is not considered cancelling service as long as you transfer it into your name or yours into hers. When you transfer it, you assume the same contract that was on the line before.
