Hey all.

I hope I am not the only one wondering how I can get tix and if there are any honest souls on this board that may help others (liek me) with finding some tix.

Sooooo.....

Who has tix that theyre trying to sell or knows of the best way to get them?
(other than working scalpers in the lot until after the game has already started)

Thanks!

I'm with you. I know there's not much chance in hell of getting a ticket, but if anyone knows of a way, please post.

I posted this in the other thread but i have (2) club level Section 219 row C tickets to game 1. I got them off a guy on ebay last friday. I got them for me and my fiancee but she can't go and now i'd rather sell the pair, and take hte proceeds to get myself a single ticket.

They are ticketfast tickets and on the freaking blue line. face is 280/piece.

$280 a pop I wont spend.

If I cant find cheaper seats online before the game then Im gonna have to try fleecing xome scalper in the lot who couldnt sell his tix when he is desperate after the game starts I guess....

Is there no one else who knows about anything?

or maybe he's like me...does not give a crap about hockey, but since it is the stanley cup, I will watch and pull for the hurricanes!

i've been watching this franchise play since well.. my mother was pregnant with me.
grew up going to hartford whaler games with season tickets till they left in 97
i've been to almost half of the home games this year and all but 1 home playoff games. (game 7 last week)
and have been going to games since i moved here in 2000

i would love to go support MY team in the finals but i simply cannot afford to pay this much for tickets.
I'm gonna try to "work the scalpers" but its gonna be tough out there.

i would really appreciate it if anyone had tickets for a decent price that i could buy. know that they're going to one of the biggest hockey fans you'll ever meet.
not that i'm really knocking fairweather fans.... honestly they're good for the team right now. we just need to find a way to keep them supporting the team.

sigh

God this is depressing. Not only are tickets tough to find, but I have to watch ppl argue over "fairweather" fans vs. "real" fans.

News flash > a whoooole lottof "real" fans in this area now started out as "fairweather" hockey fans during 2002. thats how you build a fanbase that pumps cash into a program or organization effectively. especially when hockey has been practically nonexistent in this area up til recently.

Do you expect all the whalers fans to move down here just to stick with the team?
how do you think the panthers ever got fans away from the redskins around here?
how do you think the bobcats are gonna do the same thing eventually (cause they suck now and no one cares)

that is the definition of fairweather

no, but i also don't expect a guy who has NEVER BEEN TO A HURRICANES GAME to pick a stanley cup game as his first, and take 6 tickets

I've got an extra one.

Section 311
Row M
Seat 13

It cost me $130, so i'd be looking for around that price.

all the lots including fairgrounds are $7 unless they upped the price for the stanley cup, youd have to park pretty far away to park for free...

there's no point getting upset that fairweather/bandwagon fans are getting tickets. its not fair and pisses me off but maybe they'll end up buying tickets to next years regular season...(STINGER)

we cant all be whalers fans. i'm the excepetion down here. moved here in 2000 and the fact that the "southern whalers" played near NCSU was a major incentive to go to school here. (plus my parents were excitied about going to games while visiting)
however, i've worn one of my Whalers jerseys to all the home games and have been surprised by the number of people who tell me they're from CT.
so

looks like i'll be working and making money vs spending $texas$ on tickets.

come watch the game at Playmakers if you dont have tickets.
closest sports bar to the arena (unless you count Damons) - plenty of seating and 8 huge 12 ft tvs plus 40 smaller ones and ones outside.

its the hot spot before and after the game. so come meet up for a few beers and a bite to eat before the game. ( save some money on $10 beers they have in the RBC)

/shameless plug
