i'd make an "I hate everybody in the NL Central aside from the Cards" thread, but I really don't mind the Brewersthey're kinda like the kid from middle school who you go over to their house, pretend to be nice to then steal their CapriSun and Nutty Bars and then beat up the next day on the playground....but then you kinda feel sorry about it so you apologize and then become their friend again until the next two, maybe three days, you beat them up again...this time with a broom

not this one

^^ What do you expect though. The Braves were the only major sports franchise in the South for a long time and were, and in reality still are, the only MLB team in the South (Tampa and Florida do not count). The Nats don't count either. Once Charlotte gets a team, if ever, then those figures will change.
6/1/2006 11:12:15 AM
^ I highly doubt that Charlotte is a city of bandwagon fans when the Panthers were 1-15 you were hard pressed to find many actual fans. Thats why the Bobcats are struggling because they suck and nobody wastes money on losers. As long as the Braves are good people will root for them but if they fail to make the playoffs then people will jump ship.

The Steve Stone/Harry Carey combo was one of the best baseball has ever seen. Stone is the most knowledgeable play by play I have ever heard. And Carey, well everyone knows he's classic. It's funny how people hate the braves (I'm an Athletics fan) for no other reason than they are good with a ridiculous amount of consecutive division titles, probobly won't happen this year, but it was impressive while it lasted. The point about the Braves being the only baseball team in the South is a very valid point.
