pretty sure miles arent transferablesomeone could "buy" you a ticket with their miles but i dont think you can collect miles from a bunch of different people and get a ticket

the max you can transfer per year with AA is 15k - and there is a $150 transfer fee for 10-15k - you will need 25k minimum for a round trip domestic ticket unless booked before may 31st b/c of the promotion they are running

call up and ask for a grievence fare....they do require proof of going to a funeral, but they are cheap tickets

yeah so sucks but i ended up just buying a full cost fare. the only airline that was undr like 700 was southwest and they don't do the greivance stuff so i am flying out ina couplehours
