my uncle sells equipment to all of the gyms in Raleigh and chooses to work out at the 24 hour one...he had a bunch of good things to say, esp. since you can go whenever

staying on the gym topic...[thread hijack]

Has Gold's Gym finally come back to the area? I joined a while back, then they were bought out by Beyond Fitness and I left. I'm looking at taking jobs that require a lot of travel so I need some kinda nationwide membership.

Any discussion?
I know Beyond Fitness has "parterships" with gyms all over, but a lot of times you may end up paying a one-time usage fee at the gym you're visiting, so fuck that.

FIT 24 is the name of the place. i think they close at around 8 or 9 on fridays, 6 maybe on saturdays and i think 5 on sundays (24 hrs the rest of the time)...i dont make it out there much anymore, so i cant really remember.

i only joined there because they have boxing so i still use carmichael for everything else. their management kind of sucks, and so does the company they outsource all the payment stuff to.

the gym itself seems alright. they have a basketball court, boxing section, aerobics room w/ classes, and a good amount of weight machines etc. i moved there from their old gym so i still got a good rate, dont know what the memberships are now.
