I guess it's official now ... Google Desktop has been installed on Dell Systems since Jan I think.

^ no way in hell since jan. i just got a new dell desktop for my mom within the past month and it had nothing from google installed on it.

good for both...while personally it annoys me to no end to have to remove the crap pc manufacturers put on the computer for my "convenience", google really IS good at what it does, and i think that the average user will find the google desktop to be of benefit to them (once they learn to use it, of course)...if i ever buy a new dell i'll probably just remove it like i do with every other new computer, but eh^^^^^ wtf? i completely missed any info on GoogleOS...googling it now[Edited on May 26, 2006 at 2:42 PM. that's really weird. mine came from Home as well and it had nothing installed from google. i would know too since i took off a lot of the preinstalled crap they put on for my mom. very odd.
