I NEVER post in there or even read anything and I dont know if I ever would post there, so I'm not playing favorites
But I can tell that it's a HUGE fucking mess of nothing but Trolls and Troll-bait, and the primary source for a great deal of the unchecked hostility content degradation on The Wolfweb.

1. He's got a healthy enough level of contempt for TWW users not to get into shouting matches

2. He's, more or less, a model poster

3. Smart enough and self-aware enough to moderate objectively without letting his own opinions overwhelm his sense of fair

4. He's not in any online "clique's", so there's almost no threat of him using that as bias

5. He's entertaining

6. He wants to make TWW user friendly again
I honestly think he'd be the first person to really give being a good mod a genuine shot.

i used to read soap box and occassionally post a couple of months ago (even when ppl considered it shitty too).

i, as well, havent found ANYTHING worth posting in over the past few weeks. i havent even read or skimmed a thread.

that said, im not so sure on mcdanger, or duke for that matter. ppl just need to post something interesting.

Ok i left the Duke out. sry duke. He does seem to be doing a good job, even though i'm not totally sure at the moment, which forum he moderates. He DOES seem to do some moderation

I'm just saying, Just about veryone seems to agree SOMEONE needs to take the dustpan to the soapbox though
I can't think of anyone better, and I'd probably challenge any other submission out of suspicion of them being part of his/her's supporters' e-posse

I think I could do a pretty good job moderating the soap box in a fair and impartial way -- I think the soap box needs some serious spring cleaning as well. There are some posters that'll go unnamed for now that are basically wasting bandwidth pasting content from othersites -- wastes of bandwidth such as this and other obvious trolls whose effect on the soap box is counterproductive to intelligent debate would get suspended

I fully support theDuke866 to stay as SB mod.

Even though I would offer the criticism that he should deal with the obvious SB trolls like JonHGuth, Woodfoot, abonorio, and 30thAnnz a little better, suspending them consistently for their spamming, trolling, etc.

As for those suggesting that I'm a "problem" in the SB, that's ridiculous. Over the past 3-4 months, my posting ability has been severely restricted. I can create no more than 1 thread per week. And I can't even post in other users' threads. I have only created about 6-7 threads over the past 3 months. Literally. So how am I the one "messing up" the SB? You can say that my views are "out there", but at least my threads are generating interest. It's the usual trolls who contribute virtually nothing to the SB, making it what it is.
