I have like 58gb of music on here. Tons of duplicate downloads. Fucked up track tags.

Anyone have think they can recommend the end all be all of mp3 management software.

This is going to sound retarded, but for ID3 tags, nothing beats iTunes, if you ask me. Multiple renaming is awesome, and none of the shareware programs I've found do it. I think that you can also delete from HD in iTunes, but if you can't, change the tags and do it in winamp.

there are definitely programs which are far more robust than iTunes (though itunes is good for a player as far as tagging goes). i haven't used one of these programs in a long time. i just did a quick search and found this one:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Tag-Editors/Multi-ID-Tag-Editor.shtml

I've never used it, but it looks to have all the functionality of itunes plus automation for editing multiple files without having to edit each one. there are probably better ones out there. but this may do what you're looking for.

I also like iTunes.

However it doesn't have a feature that can autopopulate ID3 tags based on file names/sizes etc. I've used MusicBrainz just for tagging in the past, and it was nearly perfect on anything that wasn't really obscure.

Yes you can, right click and select Clear. It will prompt you if you just want to remove it from the library or if you want to move the actual file to the Recycle Bin (in Windows).

Download MusicBrainz (http://musicbrainz.org/) to help you tag your mp3s automatically, and then use something like itunes (or any other program) to help you organize them and delete duplicates.
