Imagine if he had to play for a college under the new rule. He is the jordan-esque star who will make the NBA popular again.[Edited on May 21, 2006 at 3:42 PM. Reason : bah]

James is fucking sick. Put his age into it and it's even more amazing.I really want to see what he's going to do over the next few years.
5/21/2006 3:29:01 PM

5/21/2006 4:54:22 PM

5/21/2006 4:54:51 PM
all i said was he needs to work on it
5/21/2006 4:55:18 PM
truei hope the cavs win it all next yearbut not this year cause lowe needs those big big diamonds
5/21/2006 4:55:55 PM
maybe someday he'll be as good as kobe
5/21/2006 5:01:11 PM
maybe one day kobe will be able to get to the 2nd round without shaq like lebron has already doneand yeah maybe one day lebron will score 81 haha i doubt it]
5/21/2006 5:01:41 PM
5/21/2006 5:03:06 PM

5/21/2006 5:03:19 PM

5/21/2006 5:18:40 PM
^^i think when its all said and done lebron will be better than kobe and have left a bigger markbut still...anybody who can put up 81 points in an NBA game does NOT suck]
5/21/2006 5:23:45 PM
i agree with the tree, to bad james couldn't come up with his own fucking number aha
5/21/2006 5:25:28 PM

I thin Kobe could care less about sharing and being a better team player, as far as comparison's to Lebron. Kobe already has three rings, why share the ball? he enjoys being called the most lethal man in the game. Kobe would rather lose taking the shots than win by dishing. He's the most competitve guy in the league but not over winning games. AS far as the analysis of Kobe and Lebron this year, no way the Lakers win more than a game against Detroit in a series, and Lebron was a posssession from beating them 4-2. Kobe's supporting cast is certainly better than Illgauskas, Snow, and Hughes, and it's not even close, all the more reason I'd rather have Lebron[Edited on May 21, 2006 at 5:28 PM. Reason : .]
5/21/2006 5:27:26 PM
5/21/2006 5:28:46 PM
lmao somebody just said kobes supporting cast was better kobe has odem and thats it. if kobe was traded for lebron the cavs would win the east. lebrons offense is up there but his defense is nowhere near kobe's
5/21/2006 5:48:05 PM
so in 50 years who will be remembered as #23?
5/21/2006 5:54:49 PM
brandon costner
5/21/2006 5:55:30 PM
mjlebron should have chosen his own number. mike was first.
5/21/2006 5:55:39 PM

5/21/2006 5:58:34 PM
5/21/2006 5:59:39 PM
5/21/2006 6:00:57 PM

5/21/2006 6:00:59 PM
5/21/2006 6:02:47 PM
sleik, I don't thin you are a fucking moron anymore
5/21/2006 6:04:23 PM
5/21/2006 6:06:54 PM
5/21/2006 6:09:03 PM
tree....come on man, be serious
5/21/2006 6:10:27 PM
in the 80s people saw Dr. J the way people our age see Jordan nowlittle kids on the playground nowadays didnt even see Jordan play live, at least not for the Bullsnobody is immortaland what number did Bill Russell wear for the Celtics? he won 11 NBA CHAMPIONSHIPS
5/21/2006 6:13:57 PM
wow, you amaze me.80/90s BB > than 60s/70sguess we will see huh we will see in 20 years if fuckers still talk about jordan or they talk about wilt(opps, I mean russel)[Edited on May 21, 2006 at 6:17 PM. Reason : .]
5/21/2006 6:16:11 PM
talent level sure, although somebody like Russell would be fine nowadaysmy point is that you never knowwhat if Lebron gets 10 titles and averages a triple double one seasonMichael Who?Jordan could become "some old guy who was really good in his day" like Dr. J to people nowadays]
5/21/2006 6:16:57 PM
no, i disagree, the league is just now getting back to a normal standard....jordan played in the prime golden age of nba, it has to get to that level again to be rememberedand no, dr. j ended his career in the start of that age, thats why he is thought of that way ( wow, i never battle anymore on this site)[Edited on May 21, 2006 at 6:20 PM. Reason : .]
5/21/2006 6:19:25 PM
every generation has a different defintion of the "golden age of the NBA"people our age go on what we see, and Jordan was the best in our generation...maybe Kobe/Lebron is the best of the next generation...but you cant just think because Jordan had a great NBA career that he is invincible against somebody becoming better than himI'm only 26 and yeah Jordan was the best NBA player I've seen, but I also know there are people that saw greats like Chamberlain and Gervin and Earl Monroe play who have different ideas than you or I]
5/21/2006 6:21:41 PM
I think Tree has a point.Everyone that knows bball knows about Wilt and Kareem and Russell but cannot name their numbers.
5/21/2006 6:22:23 PM
People are already forgetting about jordan. It's a fucking fact: if you don't see him play, you won't regard him highly.
5/21/2006 6:22:48 PM
ya but you talk as if he will be forgotten next week, no one will have that impact for 30 years, hell it has been 20 already
5/21/2006 6:23:13 PM
^^^go ask a 12 year old kid on a playground about Kareem and Russell and see if they know anything about them^20 years? he won his last title 8 years ago and retired with the wizards 3 years ago]
5/21/2006 6:23:25 PM
then why does everyone remember Babe Ruth?
5/21/2006 6:24:16 PM
im not saying people will forget jordanim just saying its not any guarantee that he will be as revered as he is now in say 20 years
5/21/2006 6:24:53 PM
I can agree with that, but also, jordan revolutionized sports apparel, that #23 will not be forgotten as quick as Babe Ruths #3
5/21/2006 6:27:16 PM
because ruth's accomplishments have stood the test of time. Jordan's will not.
5/21/2006 6:27:39 PM
dont get hung up with my mention of jersey numbersi was saying that Bill Russell was an unheardof talent when he played and plenty of people dont know who he is nowadays...sure we do, but we're basketball fans that have studied the history of the game...kids nowadays can relate more to shaq or even david robinson or akeem
5/21/2006 6:28:35 PM
how so? Ruths shit wasn't filmed, it all from books. No has as many game winning shots on film, that is what made us want to be jordan when we were kids....geez guys, that is what will be remembered.
5/21/2006 6:29:40 PM
but see, kids nowadays they dont want to be jordan...they want to be lebron or wade or carmelo or kobe or tmac or baron davis...they want to be vince carter and dwight howard...they dont see jordan like we did...they see "their own jordans" of their era
5/21/2006 6:31:10 PM
ya but the nba did not have a salary cap back then, why the hell do you think boston won every year? 11/13 years in a row, come on. That team fell with the cap and the leagues coming together
5/21/2006 6:31:32 PM
