HBO HAS NOT taken the 4th season option in the contract.

This doesn't mean the show's definitely a goner, but it means that all the actors are now free to look for other work since the work is done for season 3. No script has been written for the 4th season. Filming for the 4th season would begin this fall, so I suppose there is time to change.

If this happens I'm gonna be super sad. I really love Deadwood, probably the most of all the HBO shows.

Just finished rewatching the series. I'm excited for the movie next year, however seeing how the show ended it's run is somewhat depressing. Cut down in it's prime over some stupid fucking studio cocksuckers disagreement.

^^I've tried several times to get into it, and each time I'm taken out of it by the profanity. And profanity doesn't bother me at all usually. I mean I really enjoyed the sopranos. There's just something about it in Deadwood I can't stand.
