For anyone who cares: Kobe whining on TNT for Charles calling him out--> right now. At least Kobe came on TNT face to face this time.

Kobe's such a little bitch.

"We were sticking with the plan that worked for three games that series..."

Well Kobe....you lost the last two games with that same plan and you were getting your ass beat in Game 7 with that plan. There is no excuse for the most dynamic scorer in the NBA to only score 1 point in the second half. Admit you fucked up Kobe...you could have at least tried to take over the game. Major dissapointment in Game 7 from Kobe. Charles called his ass out and he was right.

kobe sucks, he was only good due to shaq

and shaq cant do it by himself either, he has to have a Kobe or Wade

also MJ never scored 81 in a game

also the athleticism of the average NBA player in Jordan's day was 10% of that today in Kobe's age

Jordan would have scrubs like Craig Ehlo and Brian Russell single teaming him...I mean shit he better be able to make shots against those losers

I don't know how you can even remotely say that Kobe was "whining".

He sits there and speaks well and voices his point

It may throw a lot of basketball fans off though because he doesn't fuck up verb tense every 20 seconds.

OK. I guess well-spoken people can't whine and make excuses.

"We were sticking with the plan that worked for three games that series [and I'm not going to step up and provide my team with any offense when they need it now]..."

Kobe demanded to be "the man" in LA, but wouldn't be a man when his team needed him. Charles called him out and Kobe had no answer.

What has Kobe done without the most dominating center of the last 15 years, nada. What did Jordan do without one SOB on his entire team wortha damn (whoops Jud Buechler), achieved immortal status from every kid in America and made those teammates better than anyone could predict. The "players are more athletic today" is irrlevant. It's no contest folks, nor will it ever be. 95% of the people in this forum couldn't tell you the starting center for the bulls for the 91-93 and 96-98 era's. But they could tell you the center for any other champ. team, because the big man is the focal point of any team, except in Jordan's case, which is ridiculous.

I do agree that Barkley looks for trouble and talks an awful big game for a guy who never won a ring, but it is entertaining and you can bet TNT loves the ratings when NBA players themselves are watching haftime shows.

^ Bill Cartwright, Wennington, Luc Longley. And I hate the Bulls.

And Pippen/Rodman helped him out too, and they weren't one of those lousy SOB's either.

Kobe did a great job, always sounding intelligent and well versed and mannered. I love watching the TNT guys, they make my day. Kenny's Kobe's pictures was pretty funny. EJ runs the show and hardly anything is scripted over there. It makes for some entertaining tv. I'm sure they like the fact that they have the attention of most NBA players. Gone Fishin and some of the other things are entertaining. Only on TNT could you even get Sir Charles to call out Kobe like that. I wish they could do other things than basketball though. I'd love to hear Barkley call out some football players.

Scottie Pippen is one of the Top 50 NBA players of all time

dont act like Jordan had nobody

more like he played against teams of nobodies except for the Pistons and Lakers and Rockets

laughable.

besides those obvious answers like Longley, Cartwright, etc., dont forget about Jason Caffey, Dickey Simpkins, Bison Dele (Dead), Stacey King and many others.

No one beats me in 1990's Chicago Bulls Trivia.....no one.

^^

After '91, the Lakers were nobodies and before '96, the Lakers were nobodies.

Vlade Divac
Nick Van Exel
Eddie Jones
Cedric Ceballos
Elden Campbell
Sedale Threatt

...and that's all that's coming to me off the top of my head. Then Shaq left the Magic to go to the Lakers in 96, and Vlade was traded to the Hornets for Kobe. Jordan retired before the Lakers got good.

yeah i guess i mainly meant the quality teams that Jordan's Bulls beat in the playoffs were the early 90s Pistons (after their titles), the early 90s Lakers (still with Magic, etc before they "rebuilt"), and the Rockets with Akeem and Clyde

^^i dunno how money that team was...they were winding down...playoff team, but getting worse not better

Worthy, Perkins, Scott and Green were all getting old

Vlade and Elden were still young

Sedale was my boy when he played for Seattle with Dale Ellis, Michael Cage, Nate McMillan, Alton Lister, Xavier McDaniel, Derek McKey, Avery Johnson

Dale Ellis was so money from 3-point range

You must have a completely different concept of "whining and making excuses" from pretty much everyone else in the world.

the video is definately not on

http://www.tnt.com/

and how do you not consider kobe being "good" post shaq. hes the most dominant player in the league

old charles quotes

Quote :
"On Kobe's constant 30+ shot attempts: "Ain't no way I shot 30 times in a game." (it turns out he HAS shot 30 times in a game. 3 times, as pointed out by Ernie Johnson) "

Quote :
""Kobe Bryant is like OJ Simpson - you know, the guy who killed those two people.""
