5/12/2006 12:10:10 AM
The point is.. THEY can't say shit about who we schedule....
5/12/2006 12:25:26 AM
preseason NIT > BCA Invitational
5/12/2006 12:25:38 AM
they dont usualy open agasint a well known team ... uc santa barbra anyone ?
5/12/2006 12:37:27 AM
uhm, the 1st round of the preseason NIT has to be against a weak team...thats how tournaments typically work.
5/12/2006 12:39:41 AM
Santa Clara
5/12/2006 12:39:58 AM
They better look out for the Turk to JD alleyoop
5/12/2006 1:52:55 AM
this thread losesssssssss.............
5/12/2006 1:59:46 AM
umm what major team schedules their first game against a tough team?? no one does that. Our first game last year was Stetson who went 15-17.UNC opens with Sacred Heart who went 11-17They both suck... at least they're playing in a tournament they didnt make up and host themselves so that they get easy early winsThe pre-season NIT is a legit season opener and most our fans would love to be in it.. i doubt UNC chose their opponent for it

we always play the EA All Stars
5/12/2006 9:35:25 AM
er... no we don't. we haven't done that in several years, in fact.
5/12/2006 9:40:49 AM
Nevermind the fact that no team can play the EA All Stars anymore.
5/12/2006 9:46:33 AM
EA All Stars was an exhibition game. And this thread is a failure.

A bigger point is that the first round will be played at Bob's Cats arena in Charlotte, which is basically Carolina's home away from home anyway.
5/12/2006 10:25:54 AM
home away from home that they've never played in
5/12/2006 10:30:33 AM
In regards to Charlotte basically being a Carolina fanbase stronghold.I don't think State would get the same kind of treatment with Bobcats arena. As far as the Bobcats and Carolina go, see drafting Felton and May.Trust me, these games will sell out in like two minutes and the place will be Carolina blue just like the NCAA games two years ago.

there were plenty of duke fans in there booing at unc since they had games in the same building
5/12/2006 11:03:33 AM
From the Duke-Mississippi State game story:Duke shot just 38 percent, had 16 turnovers and almost lost what should have been a pro-Duke crowd when the game was tied at 50 with under 5 minutes to play. Because rival North Carolina played in the first game, and Tar Heels fans snapped up almost 18,000 tickets in the Charlotte Coliseum, the crowd shifted to the Bulldogs late.

We were scheduled for the preseason NIT next year I think...but Boston College was scheduled too, so when BC joined the ACC, one of us had to go. For some reason, even though we were the ones with the ACC designated spot, we were knocked out so BC could take the spot.
5/12/2006 11:23:25 AM
^^it worked both ways though...some duke fans went to the carolina game beforehand and booed the tarheels and cheered for whatever scrub team they had to play...not that i dont think that there are more UNC fans than either Duke or State fans in Charlotte...but there are still plenty of Duke and State fans that can afford tickets...half the UNC fans are Mexicans who dont speak English and buy their hat at Walmart^hmmm...is our schedule out yet? i guess not...wonder if we'll try to schedule houston or ucla since we got lowe and towe...hmm<!--[Edited on May 12, 2006 at 11:24 AM.
