Anyone know of a studio I could use? I've checked on websites of Durham Arts Council, various crafts centers and Artspace, without luck. They either charge huge amounts for rooms aimed toward people with events, or they don't have anything.

Or does anyone have a personal one (+lighting equip) that they'd be willing to lend/rent?

yep, if you're a student you can check out the photo studo for a few hours at a time, it's pretty decent.
