Anybody got any info for people that have the noise ordinance citation (RCC-13-3017)? Court date is coming up and don't know if a lawyer is necessary if this is not their first offense.

I'm sure there's a thread about this already, but I couldn't find it.

My best guess would be the DA will offer you to do 10 hours of volunteer work to dismiss it. You bring in a letter saying you did the work and it gets dismissed. If you hire an attorney he can probably get it dismissed without you doing that, but then of course you have to pay the attorney.
