I think I killed mine putting a new fan in. Could be my sAGP lot because it's looser than a $2 whore. Anyone in charlotte have a pci or agp videocard laying around I could borrow to test if it's my video or motherboard. Background:Yesterday noticed computer was quiet, opened it up to find videocard fan (ati 7500) and northbridge fan have stopped. I may not even need these fans as well, it's a 7500 video card and my MB doesn't even have USB 2.0 (AMD XP 1600 ) But I replaced the fan anyway. Now I have everything but video and HD pulled and I can't get it to start. Sometimes I'll get graphics other times I won't get anything. I get to the safemode prompt (win XP Pro), select it and it reboots. Tried doing a repair option and I got "setupdd.sys could not be loaded. The error code is 4". Google tells me I have a hardware device that isn't working properly.Oh and I have the card seated pretty good.

if it's your board, what makes you think someone wants to volunteer a card to get destroyed in it?

I was thinking someone had an old ass card that's basically crap (like my pc) sitting around not some new fancy one. I remember I have 1 or 2 at work. I'm talking some 16MB video card that you could get maybe $2 for at a yard sale. I'll either replace the video card or buy a new PC, probably Dell.

the 5600 is AGP - I work downtown at Gateway Village - 800 W. Trade St. - I probably have a few ancient video cards you could have for free as well, they'd just be in one of the boxes around here (Moving later this week) - check your pm for my phone #
