^doesn't know what he's talking about.http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/mission_impossible_3/and they count 2.5 out of 4 as rotten, which is hardly fair.[Edited on May 4, 2006 at 5:59 PM. Reason : fds]

5/4/2006 6:00:40 PM

watching it tonite, i'll let you know...fyi...a lot of theaters are showing it tonite at 10pm
5/4/2006 6:03:37 PM
too many damn previews that progressively show more and more....
5/4/2006 7:00:13 PM
yeah i was surprised when i learned laurence fishburne was gonna be in itthe first MI was a more of a thinking man's movie, and the second was more of your typical star-powered summer blockbuster once they realized what they had on their hands, especially with cruise at the helmi think this one will probably be more in the vein of the second
5/4/2006 7:33:12 PM
Mission Impossible 1 was so much better than 2. I'd rather see a thinking man's movie than a movie that uses car chases and explosions to make up for a lack up plot and creativity.
5/4/2006 7:48:06 PM
ebert says its a cgi lovefestothers say its a two hour long alias without the addicting alias partswhat the hell happened to spy movies??????
5/4/2006 8:13:16 PM
5/4/2006 8:23:53 PM
what the hell happened to not posting only stuff from negative reviews??????
5/4/2006 8:53:10 PM
i haven't looked hard enough for good reviews
5/4/2006 9:01:13 PM
then you must be looking superfucking hard for negative ones, as RT has it tabbed at 59 fresh, 18 rotten.nice try though.
5/4/2006 9:04:45 PM
i just skimmed imdb.com for like 30 seconds and that's what it saidi probably shoulda said i wasn't trying specifically find any particular type of reviewwhat i was actually looking for was something like "M:I3 strays away from its predecessor, goes back to it's roots and mimics the mood of M:I1"that's about the only thing that could make it good in my opinion...everyother review is bad
5/4/2006 9:11:50 PM
"Injecting fresh blood and energy into the franchise via stronger plot, more suitable villain (terrifically played by Philip Seymour Hoffman), and larger ensemble, TV's Abrams makes a splashy debut proving he's just as gifted big-screen director."i'll see it sometime next week.
5/4/2006 9:16:10 PM
this movie has almost no chance of being good
5/4/2006 9:21:10 PM
I'm guessing that this movie is gonna suck balls. But even if it doesn't, I'm boycotting this movie on the grounds that Cruise is a giant Scientology tool.

philip seymour hoffman is a big reason why i'm excited about tomorrownot sold on keri russell in this type of movie and/or role, but we'll see[Edited on May 4, 2006 at 10:52 PM. Reason : ]
5/4/2006 10:52:37 PM
yeah, I've got 3 reasons not to see this1) The little stunt Cruise pulled with Comedy Central to get the scientology South Park episode off the air2) Kanye West doing the theme song3) Mission Impossible 2
5/4/2006 11:02:02 PM
hadn't heard about #2i think if i hear that theme song put to rap music tomorrow, my ears might pull a 'does not compute' and cease to function entirely
5/4/2006 11:03:56 PM
Mission Impossible 3 was awesome. Everyone agreed afterwards. Not saying everyone will agree, but the 15 people I watched it with enjoyed it.Easily beats MI:2...but that's not that hard.I think I still like the first one more though. There were a couple of lines that were spoken that were a bit cliche and cheesy, and some of the action/special effects were a bit too over the top. The story line itself was also a bit unoriginal. Not giving away too much, but if you think I might stop reading now..... It's basically the story lines from both the first and second put together.Def. worth the price to a matinee showing! just my opinionanyone else see it yet?

5/5/2006 10:35:06 AM
i stand by my statement
5/5/2006 11:08:09 AM
John Woo needs an ass kicking for killing what could have been a cool franchise... in super slow motion for like 2 minutes... while using wires... because apparently doing those things make any action scene better
5/5/2006 11:36:34 AM
75% of this movie is awesome25% of this movie is an episode of aliasmost of that 25% of the movie occurs in the first 30 minutesso if you watch alias you'll feel a bit ripped off. it works for alias b/c it's a tv show and you become attached to the characters. it doesn't work as well for a movie with a bunch of new characters filling in the exact roles of alias charactersthe spying was fun, the action was fun (some cheesy moments but overall better than M:I 2).the climax of the story was presented too fast (though that's usually the nature of spy movies)i didn't predict the big twist, but it answered some questions about things i noticed that just didn't seem rightthe shoe thing was hilarioustom cruise + religion was a bit muchthe ending was just ridiculous...
5/6/2006 10:33:28 PM
after seeing mi 1 (good) then mi 2 (shit) i've lost faith and won't see this one unless someone else plays it and i'm already on a couch with chips and dip
5/6/2006 11:09:39 PM
this is a million times better than the second onei still like the first one betterbut this is what the second one should have been
5/6/2006 11:11:06 PM
good
5/6/2006 11:40:37 PM
hmm i may give it a matinee chance
5/6/2006 11:45:15 PM
I liked it. Wasn't as good as the first one, and I never saw MI2 so I can't compare. But it was good in its own right; an entertaining movie.
5/7/2006 1:27:53 AM
The story line was good. My only gripe: there wasn't enough action.Either that, or I'm hard to please.I can't remember when the last time was when I walked out of a movie and said "wow, that was awesome"
5/7/2006 2:23:46 AM
5/7/2006 8:38:07 AM
I may have to go see it sometime then

The reason why they didn't show exactly what took place inside the building is probably because we already saw it twice. in the first one and especially the second one when he had to break in to get that chamaira virus or whatever
5/7/2006 12:26:44 PM
it was pretty good, definitely not anything special. some cool visual effects and eye candy similar to matrix reloaded, but the plot was a bit weak overall.
5/7/2006 2:37:01 PM
5/7/2006 2:49:51 PM
the plot was a bit weak but it was def better than 2
5/7/2006 11:48:26 PM
one word why I'm not gonna go see this movie:scientology
5/8/2006 9:35:50 AM
5/8/2006 10:12:17 AM
If you don't see a movie because of some nutjob's religion then you're a fuckwad.Otherwise, this movie was awesome.
5/8/2006 10:21:21 AM
i think it has more to do with him interferring with another show that people really enjoy (south park)
