I don't know if this can even work or not, but I've got a wireless connection set up where I am, the ISP being Intel PROSet Wireless. I don't have the Xbox wireless adaptor (using the old one, not 360), so I'm basically just hooking an ethernet cable from my laptop to my Xbox while the wireless connection is running. I'm sure this has to work somehow, does anybody know if this involves setting up an IP Address in the system menu or doing something with DNS? And if so, where do I go to get the information I need? If anybody knows anything, I'd be very grateful.

u need a crossover cable (which is exactly the same as a regular ethernet cable, just the plug on one end has the wires inverted) and you'll need to do some setup stuff on the PC I tried the same thing a while back and found that out..just have been lazy in getting a crossover

Hmmmm...I might have a crossover cable, theres all sorts of weird shit here. But that matter aside, if I do find one or get one, what's the setup stuff I need to do?

you can make the crossover cable, its really easy, made one this past year for the heck of it playin w the same thing... you can google instructions with pictures...you need to set up internet sharing on your pc... wizards will help you do that or you can google that as well... i'm only telling you to look these things up because i honestly dont remember precise steps, i'm just letting you know it's not hard to do and shouldn't take long... hopefully somebody will post more details if you need them... good luck
