well pacing for 70 pass balls is pretty impressive, young man needs to learn how to catch the nuckle
5/2/2006 7:10:36 AM
no one can catch the knuckle... that pitch is unpredictable.
5/2/2006 8:35:52 AM
^ Except for Mirabelli, Maybe that's why they traded to get him back from San Diego. Also, You hear about the glove? He left his glove at Fenway for Bard when he got traded, then when the trade went back the other way, Bard left the glove back for Mirabelli.

Does wakefield still throw the knuckler with RISP?
5/2/2006 10:13:19 AM
^^ it's true, it was on espn last night. The cops drove him from the airport to fenway. And I saw an interview with mirabelli and he was talking about being butt naked in the back of a cop car[Edited on May 2, 2006 at 10:14 AM. Reason : .]
5/2/2006 10:13:51 AM
it was all over ESPN.. The Red Sox had a private jet pick him up in San Diego, fly him to Boston, and a Police escort to the stadium. Mirabelli told ESPN after the game that the Police cruisers were going almost 100mph to get from Logan to Fenway.
5/2/2006 10:13:57 AM
^yeah but not with the real quick guys. He's still got that blistering 78mph fastball he can throw. He'll do alot of pitchouts.
